Re: Lance Stephenson
Bazz has been a willing passer lately too, not a good one but he has been moving the ball. If him and Lance move the ball the second unit gets significantly better. It also makes Bjelly and Dunn/Tyus burden to score lessened. I don't trust leaving all the bench points to Bazz but if he gets help from Lance, that's something you can at least work with. Should make Bjelly's life easier too as there are two-three greater threats playing with him.

Better than Wiggins?
I forgot that Wiggins was drafted from another team
The difference being that Wiggins had no say in coming here. Lance chose to be here. That's worth something.
It's no joke that we can't attract good free agents.
Kevin Martin was probably our best signing in the last 15 years and we had to waive him before his contract was over. The only other sought after player who chose to sign with us was Mike James in 2006, who was a huge disappointment and traded after one year.
Cap space is virtually useless to us, until we can prove we are a playoff lock and possibly even a contender (in 2-3 years)

Re: Lance Stephenson
Kirilenko was very decent. His defense and IQ made even mediocre roster look better.

Re: Lance Stephenson
Didn't see any mention, but Lance has sprained his ankle. Will he be signed anyway? Maybe give him a 2nd 10 day contract? Obviously he is pretty rusty and hasn't actually shown much yet - but better get him on the cheap before the competition does?

I guess that after 2nd 10 days contract we will need to decide either sign him for real contract or let him go. If MRI doesnt show anything serious I would just give him minimal 2yr contract. Or we can have mutual agreement and give him bigger contract later, once he recovers

Re: Lance Stephenson
Is there any ruling that says a 2nd 10 day contract would have to be signed on the same/next day when the 1st one expires?
The only rule I know of that might have an effect would be that he'd need to be signed for the remainder of the season (at least) by March 1st to be eligible for the playoffs.

I really hope Thibs sees his potential with this squad and signs him(even with the injury) to a cheap 2 yr deal. His upside is to great to ignore.

Injury is pretty unfortunate. Don't know if Thibs will take the risk

see two games of Lance and want him to a 2 year deal? What is with Wolves fans and obsessing over these kinds of players. Lance is 26, there is no more upside

It was 56 wins not 60, but they went to the playoffs 4 straight years and Stephenson was a key player on those teams starting in 2010

Age 26 is normally labeled as the start of a players prime years

Lance has had 2 good years in his career. Also had the worst 3 point shooting season in NBA history
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
