what an ugly shooting night though...13/55 from 3 and 16 missed FTs...a rare win despite such terrible shooting

Our best chance is trying to get above Denver. Dallas just keeps beating teams they aren't favored against

Hell of a win. I thought we were dead in the water in the 3rd.

it's so weird that dlo can shoot 25% and still have the highest +/- on the team... he's just so good at creating baskets for his teammates, man. If he was a better shooter he'd be an allstar easily

So much crow for his haters that were nonstop earlier this season in his thread… and they have been awfully quiet lately.

No way past wolves teams would have pulled that out. The old KAT wouldn't have gone off like that to take the game over. We need a lot of work but we are continuing to build.

Wolves shot so bad. 39% field. 23% from 3.

Amazing we won.

We're getting better to win the ones we shouldn't.

Somebody was talking about KAT never having the good game when needed the other day. The claim was he could only do it in easy wins when Russell and Ant were stepping up also. I'm so tired of the KAT bashing here.

Ugly win but I will take it. Undefeated in TC in 2022. On to the next one.

Any game the team shoots 39/24/63 and wins is a good game.

It's frustrating how the Beasley/Prince/McLaughlin combination swings so drastically between red hot and incredibly cold. We're now in game 4 of an incredibly cold stretch.

I missed it and am so disappointed I did, but happy for win.

How many times have we said we lose that game in the past this year? We have a long ways to go but feel like that might be the culture change that sets things on a new trajectory.

If we want to go into the all-star break on a winning streak, the bench HAS to play well tomorrow.

Outside of Jaden, who started the second half, the bench went 7-19 from the field and virtually gave nothing

What happened to Ant???
"...I want to compliment him, we all expected that he would take up the game, we have prepared the plan race on him, we have doubled. And, as usual, he did what he wanted..."

Jaden said it felt like a playoff game. I can totally see where he is coming from. Although, to be honest, I would hope both teams would play just a little better in a playoff game ;) ;) ;).

I don’t know what is happening between Finch and Nowell, but it is serious enough that Nowell is being neutralized. For a while there it seemed like he was our Jaylen Brunson, now he is barley used. Also, Beasley is the linchpin to what your talking about. When Beasley is on fire they have to focus their defense on him which creates opportunities for Prince and loosens things up for JMAC to get his dimes. Also worth noting that Naz is far more efficient from the corners than above the break, yet all the 3s I have seen him shoot the last few games are above the break. We need to run actions to better position our talent.

I just think that during our winning streak, JMac, Beasley, Jaden and Prince were all playing so well, it was tough to find minutes for Nowell - who was so hot when the starters were out with Covid. The bench hasn’t been so hot lately, but I think it takes a few games before you give up on those guys. I know Ant wants to play every day, but I hope they rest him tonight, and hopefully that will find Nowell bigger minutes as “Baby Ant, offense initiator.”

I agree with everyone who has said that things may be changing.

I had the opportunity to watch last night’s game, from the fourth quarter to the end, with a couple friends who like sports, but don’t really follow the Wolves. After years of watching this team lose in the fourth quarter, often with even very little fight, they were amazed by the game. They kept asking me questions about the team, and they became thoroughly engrossed by the end of the game.

I think there are tons of these potential fans in the area. With so many sports options vying for our attention (all four major pro sports plus all of the Gopher sports), I think most of the city only gets excited about the Wolves when they win. Back in the successful Garnett era, the arena and the city would be hopping when the Wolves took the floor. I think those potential fans are still out there, and if this team can reach them, the Timberwolves will become cool again.

It feels like we’re on the right road, heading for that day.
