the way wolves are balling right now I don't think we'll miss the opportunity to draft Turner, but Henry with Bobcats pick would be great.

some friday night stats, for players that are interesting...

Al -Faraq Aminu - 25 pts, 13 rebs, 1 assist ( hit 3 3's)
Terrico White - 16 pts , 1 reb, 1 assist with 4 steals
Cole Aldrich- 112 pts, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 blocks
Paul george- 19 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals
Greg Monroe- 18pts, 11 rebs, 2 assists, 2 blocks
Jarvis Varnado- 22pts, 14 rebs, 2 asissts, ( 7 blocks )
Xavier Henry- 27 pts, 5 rebs, 2 assists ( 5 3's made)

Keep your eyes on Aminu this year, I've read some things on him, sounds like he really is ready to be a beast this year, added some weight, worked on his outside jumper a ton, and is ready to lead. Could be a top 5 type player.

Well, this is kind of far off in terms of Wolves prospects but Harrison Barnes chose to go to North Carolina yesterday. Being an Iowa Stater, I was watching on TV and I probably would've went crazy had he chosen Iowa State but I'd say North Carolina was my number 2 choice for him. This kid is gonna be crazy good. Watch out for him in a couple years.

If you could, straight up, trade Rubio's rights for the rights to Evan Turner...would you do it?

id trade rubios rights for evan turner..

However, I think we'll be in position to draft him with our own pick.

Get Turner as a SG, and Aminu as a SF?

me like.

if you have Flynn and Turner in your lineup, you've got to have a deadly shooter to play off their penetration and punish teams, i don't now if Aminu can do that. Henry is my pick for this job.

henry is more of a SG .....Aminu is a true SF.

Turner looks like a SG in the NBa too me also.

Henry is a big SG, but I'd say Turner could play SG or SF. Turner is big enough and athletic enough to guard the 1, 2, or 3 positions, IMO. I've mentioned that we could have a much worse draft than picking Turner early and Henry in the teens and paying them together at the 2-3.

But isn't Aminu a natural PF? I am hoping that he can show that he could be a big, shot blocking SF in the NBA (he needs to show acceptable shooting and a little handle of course).

Nah Aminu is more of a SF imo. He's a VERY athletic kid who can run, and I believe his shot will be much improved, read something about how hard he worked on it this year, and nice to see him get a few 3 pointers in that first game. But yeah you could argue he could play both SF and PF easily. He's a kid I really could see blowing up this year, and have teams in the top 5 looking hard at him.

Coach who played against him, last night sang his praises, said he's one of best he's seen.

That Varnado kid is a interesting PF prospect, the kid blocks everything, and plays great D. Not that the twolves could use that haha.

I keep seeing posts like this. Where does the second lottery pick come from? My understanding is that we most likely won't have Charlotte's pick and Utah's won't be very valuable...

The Utah pick is top 17 protected, so you're right, we wouldn't get Aminu with it if Utah sends it this year.

Trade??? trade Rubio? trade Jefferson? combine utah's, bobcats' pick, rights to Pekovic, Sessions? Kahn turned Foye and Miller into pick #5, he has a lot of assets next summer to work with.

exactly...

lots of trade options come draft night if their is a player or two they covet...

you got 2 european assets, and quite frankly I think just about everyone on the current roster as far as Kahn is concerned if the right offer comes around..

If we get Al-Farouq Aminu, I'm trademarking the nickname/catchphrase Aminu Acid.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.
