Me too, had them in the elite eight.

Also couldn't bring myself to pick our beloved Bronze Rodents to beat UCLA. Too many nightmares of the Hollin's boys turning the ball over and Rodney Williams scoring 2 pts on 1-8 shooting.

creighton is shooting 3s like the timberwolves. mcdermott is really carrying that team. bet he wishes he had some of duke's shooters though.

Must be tough to recruit players to come play in Florida.

Worst draft of all time potential.

Noel is the only early pick that intrigues me.

Pretty much. That's why I'm fine with trading the pick for an established player. I don't think there is a player in this draft that doesn't have sizable warts.

This is one of the few drafts w/ lotto quality SGs in our range; if Muhammed, McLemore, or Oladipo is available, we should draft 'em, keep 'em, start 'em, and count our blessings.

I like McLemore's size, athletic ability and shooting. He doesn't seem to have a scorer's mentality and is hesitant to drive with the ball but he can do that. I think his faults would be minimized playing next to Rubio so I don't really worry about that.

I just wish for once we would move up into the top-3 be able to draft McLemore then take a project big with the Memphis pick like Withey, Dieng, WCS, Adams.

I'd be fine with McLemore or Oladipo but I want nothing to do with Shabazz.

Dont worry, Hoiberg will keep Shabazz in line. Not my ideal personality choice either, but he'd still make the team better. I think his concerns are overblown anyways - personality wise, I see him as a Josh Smith type rather than a JR Smith, who, incidentally, I'd also happily insert into our starting SG spot.

I agree. Shabazz has his issues, but I don't think he's avoid at all costs.

I agree with those saying this class out of Noel is not very exciting. Among the backcourt players, the one I can see easily growing into a solid player is Oladipo. He already has a skill (defense), and he can develop a jumper. Unfortunately, if we are in a “win now” mode, he won’t fill our needs (shooter right away with some handles).

Among the bigs, apart from Noel, IMO Len has a much bigger ceiling than Zeller. I think even Withey would be a better pick for a well-defined role.

Just my 2 cents.
He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot.

I didn't really mean to come across as avoid at all costs. This would probably be my priority of what to do with our pick:
1. draft Noel
2. draft McLemore
3. draft Oladipo
4. trade for an established wing
5. draft Shabazz one of the other centers

If we keep the pick and those other three are off the board, I wouldn't be upset with taking him - I would just really rather trade the pick first. In addition to his personality issues, I wonder how big of an impact he is going to make early on. Granted I haven't watched a ton of him but he seems to rely on overpowering his opponent a lot and he won't be able to do that in the NBA. He does have nice size, though.

Shaka or Hoiberg.

However, I think if Hoiberg leaves Iowa St. it'll be for the NBA. I heard Flip is in the Gophers top 10, but not top 3.

Anyone know anything about Spencer Dinwiddie out of Colorado? He has some fantastic numbers. DX has him not going until next years draft, but he's a sophmore.

6'6" who averaged 15.6 / 3 / 3 and shoots 42 / 35(over 4 attempts) / 82.6(getting to the line 7.3 times a game)

DX says he plays a bit of the combo guard, and that he has great handles, with very good quickness / speed but not a big time jumper. Also pretty skinny.

I'm intrigued though, if he were to declare this year.
