I see this rookie ladder as more of a power rankings thing, about the current level of play of the rooks. I'm not worried about the sportswriters not voting for Andrew at the end. I also remember how it took him several weeks to pass Jabari Parker in the ladder, after the injury.

This plus the last couple games have been against less challenging opponents. We had a long stretch against playoff teams and a lot of them were double teaming Wiggins and playing him very physically.

I think it has more to do with Martin not being in the lineup. Wiggins has to be the no.1 option when he is out.

Exactly. Martin's absence has allowed wiggins (and imo) everybody else playing to get into more of a flow offensively. Martin constantly takes quick, contested shots and the offense quits moving. Jazz and lal are no great teams by any means but our offense the last two games has been more dynamic, much more ball movement and hustle by all 5 players on the court

I hope there's nothing to the 'showing up' comment. Guy needs to show up every night or he'll just be ok in the NBA. So much talent, now I want to see the desire to take over.

"Showing up" might be a little harsh. I do think he shows up every game but he definitely likes playing in big spotlight games and matchups and puts out a little extra effort in those games. All young players need to learn how to play with consistent effort for 82 games. I'm not worried about it.

So what does Wiggins last stretch of games not count towards his Rookie of the Year Award chances? Because he's been sensational

Anyone know when RoY voting starts? It better start before the season ends because Wiggy is starting to lose this race.

dont see any problem when you score 31 on 9/17 shooting. He is not losing it.

His play is great as always but the media narrative is changing every day in Noel's favor. I really hope he gets the RoY, he unquestionably deserves it when you consider the entire season.

Am I the only one who gets surprised nearly every time he finishes one of his drives with a dunk? They are just shocking at times. Moves like those aren't supposed to be finished with dunks like those.

No you aren't the only one. That first spin dunk last night surprised me. He jumped from 10 feet out. I thought it was going to be a floater like every other player would do.

Even this guys don't think it's a close race.

Very similar to young VC. It justs seem like they have an extra gear mid jump (like a nitro boost)and elevate higher or further when they need to.

I'll like the aggression. I think wiggs is a bit more fearless going to the rim then vc. That first step is unreal and surprisingly strong lower body strength. If he adds strength watch out.
