I think the win tonight kills the chance of any big trades this offseason, barring some foolishness from ownership.

We may have leveled up in the eyes of some of the ring-chasing free agents and another big perk of winning may be the opportunity to snag a couple of good playable vets for the minimum this summer.

I think Connelly would have to have crazy convictions about a player being as good of a roster fit plus being cheaper. Which oddly enough, tells me that player would probably have to come from Denver.

You need personnel to slow down Jokic. KAT despite his flaws, still does a good job defending Jokic. KAT also has improved this playoffs when it comes to his decision making, foul trouble. He is still gonna attract attention offensively and in games like yesterday where he made quick decisions, it just made the whole offense lot better. Like unless Wolves have a chance of getting a long term PG as part of trade which is an incredibly hard thing to find, it's probably better to keep KAT atleast for another year

G7 just confirms this even more...KAT is extremely important in a matchup vs Denver. Now there are things for coaching staff to figure out next season regarding incorporating KAT more into offense but that's a talk for another time.

This is how KAT needs to play when the 3s aren't falling. He still shot 6 3s with nice low post scoring, mix in a couple bull runs , and defense. He can pass to Gobert too. Gobert is now basically the supersized Vanderbilt and can guard smaller players. If he hits that turnaround consistently  He will a superstar. Taylor and/or ARod better pay the piper to keep this team together. Maybe even sign KA/Morris and trade them mid season to upgrade. Any just need to work the entire summer to learn how to throw the lob pass. Maybe he will get some lessons from Luka and Kyrie shortly.

Again… call me crazy but if we win it all this year I would trade Rudy.

We need to retool to be able to keep up with OKC in future. We have to project our future with Thunder in mind as well as projecting a team that can stop Jokic. We also need to consider the long term timeline of our younger core (Ant, McDaniels, Naz, NAW, Miller, etc).

Leonard Miller was a highly rated pick, maybe he can be our 3rd rotation big and Luka gets spot minutes.

Flip Gobert for some draft picks and ‘retool’ a bit whilst relieving some cap space. Let Kyle Anderson go or trade him if possible (don’t know how many years he has left on his contract).

If we can get a relatively high-ish draft pick for Gobert (maybe one of Spurs picks so they can partner him with Wemby), try and get our PG of the future (Topic)

KAT needs to shoot more 3's though...there were couple of 3's yesterday which rimmed out but yeah in general, I want KAT to take more 3's..it's frustrating to see KAT sometimes not take open 3's and instead pass it to a worse shooter like NAW.

Yes, he did do that yesterday. Need to be more decisive with the 3. But maybe it's because he wasn't hitting them.

Would anyone want Kyle on sign and trade even if our pick was attached?

I just don’t see this happening. Unless we dump other salary, we’re not being in anyone really above the minimum vis trade or free agency. And with last nights win, I don’t see us trading any of the starters.

If we ultimately have to trade one of the three, I think it's worth a discussion.

No, no shot. Kyle isn't the type of free agent you sign and trade for.

KA is just the salary slot and it's going to be a one year contract (so half a year of money for the trading team). The value would be whoever we take #1 and 2nd in June and a future 2nd. Is Jazz ready to move Clarkson? Hayward, who did nothing for OKC? LBJ are good option, just use our #1 on Bronny :D

I'd be banging on Orlando's door. Getting Suggs back to pair with Ant for ten years would be insane defensively. Sprinkle in McDaniels and NAW, and it's even insanier (sic). But you are correct, going forward the Wolves do not have the assets to improve the way OKC and NOLA do. Even looking at what Dallas did at the trade deadline to significantly improve while the Wolves couldn't do anything (outside of Morris). Spurs may be less likely to try to accelerate the rebuild with a veteran, whereas Orlando is playoff ready right now. And Suggs, despite not being a PG, is ready right now too versus a draft pick - so the Wolves don't take a step back like they could with a pick or picks.

Sadly, I haven't see anything from Miller, Minott, and Garza to suggest they will ever be actual NBA players.

While I don’t think we’ll see a major player traded this summer, the Wolves playoff success raises our player’s value around the league with fans, and likely with GMs.

I know this sounds insane, but would he actually mesh with the team first defense first culture here?

Yeah, he loves to win. He does everything needed to win. That's why he went to 9 Finals in 10 years.
