Yes, I am Cavs fan too. He has been down but I believe he will get back to near all star form in the future. Still if just for the price of JMcD, I take it.

I think Garland will improve too, but he costs $14 mil more than McDaniels, and I doubt we can afford a fourth max deal.

I like Garland. Was pissed when he was sniped from us after trading up in the draft. Because of finances, the only way it works if it’s a deal centered around KAT for Garland. KAT actually works really well with Mobley if the Cavs move Allen, as rumored.

Dude what? Are you serious? Bro is about to retire. We have no **** picks, if we lose KAT to an expiring we will be at best a treadmill team for the next decade.

I take TyTy Washington instead of Paul. Look at Porzingis. Just need to find the right match for his value. Maybe OKC? I have no problem take another run either. Who actually expected we got this far and it isn't like we didn't have a chance to win a couple games.

We are almost like Ind. They got lucky with couple injuried teams. We got a minor miracle on the DEN game 7. Both were handed a couple heartbreaking losses in the CF round. The basketball gods are too cruel.

Wow! Seeing some of the trade offers on TGB and here, I thought this was a no brainer offer.

Capela is a salary filler on an expiring. Murray is the star. He lead the Hawks in WAR at 6. Runs an offense well. Is a really good defender as long as it's at PG.

KAT contract is massive. It's not easy to trade for him unless you have a filler.

We should also have a look at what we can get for Rudy. Not sure his value is really high right now..

I think Dejounte would be a tempting offer as the starting point for a deal. And worth noting, Capela would give us a 2024-25 backup for Gobert to where there wouldn't be a defensive/schematic drop-off. We would probably need to re-sign Kyle though, or hope Lenny is ready.

Was working through the grief process right after the game.

And if you look at the salaries, Golden State HAS to add more to make it a legal trade. It couldn't be a straight 1-for-1. Also I rarely include draft pick specifics in my initial trade idea postings, it doesn't mean there wouldn't be any.

My preferred order of trades:
1. Trade for Tyus Jones with first round pick and filler
2. KAT for Mikal Bridges (probably pipe dream)
3. KAT for DeJounte Murray (probably unlikely given Atlanta has Capela, Okongwu and could draft Sarr)
4. KAT for Kuzama and Tyus Jones (maybe realistic, if Wash would want KAT, but he may be too old and costly for a rebuilding team, so probably would need a three way trade)
5. KAT for Ingram and Trey Murphy (NO probably says no)
6. KAT for Murphy and filler (maybe, Murphy may become a special player and I like him more than Ingram)

I know people are frustrated by last night’s loss, but the trade season unofficially starts on June 26 with the NBA draft. A month from now, I think we will look back at this season in a very positive way - one of the top 2 seasons in franchise history. We won so much in the regular season, we had a chance to be the #1 seed right up to the final day! Everyone said that we were dead meat having to play the Suns in Round 1, and we swept them 4-0. We had to play the champs and the MVP in Round 2, and we fought to a 4-3 win. Maybe more importantly, this team changed the public’s perception of the team as a bunch of dumb losers. Heck, most of the narratives were proven wrong! The Gobert trade wasn't the worst in the history of the NBA. Two bigs CAN work. Rudy CAN guard in space. Towns CAN defend. McDaniels CAN score. Conley ISN’T too old. And Ant isn’t just some good very young player - he will be a star.

If ownership can afford it, I think our top seven will all be back next year, and we won’t see a trade. And since GM’s make longterm moves to help the franchise for years, I’m not going to over-react to a Game 3 loss, trading away valuable players when we have a good chance of being even better next year, simply with reasonable growth from our young players.

Trading McDaniels for Darius is a bad trade. Darius was a team worst -74 in playoffs and he was worst plus minus starter for Cleveland. He is a slighltly better shooting DLO who plays almost as bad of defense, turns the ball over too much and is injury prone. No thanks.
