Sure, but didn't he have almost as many turnovers as assists?

Ah but if we struck every guy off our list that turned the ball over more than they racked up assists, we never would have gotten Beasley.

I think you see the error of your thinking now and I accept your apology.

I would rather have KCP all day. Not a good sign when you come into a workout out of shape and you already have red flags about lack of desire to play the game. In my opinion, not coming away with Oladipo or KCP in this draft is a huge fail.

shrink wrote:Mr.Cosell, I would invite you to start new threads when you have individual trade ideas.

Different teams boards do it differently, but here, with seperate threads we are able to keep the discussion centered on the individual deal. I also think it works well to direct people that are interested in these things (like me) to the threads, and people that are more interested in real moves can avoid the threads. Finally, I think that individual threads encourage visiting posters from other teams to notice these trades, and give comments from their local perspective.

Let me also say that I've appreciated the work you've been doing here lately. Keep it up!

No offense shrink, but you're not the moderator here.

Carry on!

DX UPDATE!

#9 KCP
#26 Nogueira
#52 Myck Kabongo
#59 Joffrey Baratheon

Shabazz is out of the lottery at 15.

Solid draft needs-wise. KCP would be our only rookie this year, stash the rest in Europe.

But.. I did say "invite...?"

I'm just a trade fan, and I like the way this board has historically put trades in their own threads. Mr. Cosell's trade looked very good, and he has been prolific with pretty good trades. I just wanted to make sure that hiw work got it's fair share of discussion, and didn't get lost.

I really like Joffrey Baratheon as a sleeper pick. He's an expert marksmen, not afraid to shoot, and has that killer instinct that every team is looking for.

He can be a bit of a diva though and disappear at crucial moments.

Putting this under the "pre-draft" part of this thread. There are so many now sort of involving the draft...

http://www.foxsportsnorth.com/nba/minnesota-timberwolves/story/Exclusive-QA-with-Flip-Saunders?blockID=913781&feedID=3697

FSN: You held an individual pre-draft work out with (potential first-round pick) C.J. McCollum earlier this week. What'd you think?

SAUNDERS: I thought he was good. He was what everyone knows he is: he can shoot the basketball. (He was) one of the most efficient guys this past year until he got hurt. He does something that we're looking to do, and that's shooting. We'll have to wait and see how everything plays out here. Everyone's active. It's very interesting because we talk a lot about trades as far as people trading up into that top five or six, and I believe, when it's all said and done, that everyone is gonna stay pat. It seems the closer we get that everyone seems to be falling more in love with their guys that they can get at those picks.

FSN: That's the vibe you've been getting when talking to other GMs?

SAUNDERS: Yeah, and I've always thought that. The No. 1 pick hasn't been traded in over 20 years. That just doesn't happen.

I haven't heard much about Mac from Flip.. Might mean he really likes him?

Maybe this Oladipo love was a smokescreen for flips true plans 8-)

No track record? He's been in the NBA for years. He had a say in building up the KG days here. He worked with the Celtics recently. He's been a HC for years.

Plus, didn't Klomp remind us that he was also wearing the GM hat during the Joe Smith debacle... but you'll note he never got directly punished by the NBA. So he's got that going for him.
