Because not many teams left need a starting PG and very very few of those teams have 20m+ in cap space. The only one I can think of is possibly the Knicks. But they may want to give all the PG minutes to Dennis Smith Jr.

They wouldn’t need that much cap space because if we trade Teague we are also trading Dieng. Means we have 8+ cap space in addition to DLos max to play with

Why do you say that? If it’s a sign and trade with Teague, we only need a few more million going out to max Russell. My guess is Okogie.

If you’re trying to get someone to take Dieng and Teague you’re giving up a lot of assets.

Oh I was under the impression that we would need to dump both their contracts to get enough cap space, not sure about that tho. If we have to give up okogie, idk about that. Just for DLo I would say no cuz we gotta max him too but the scenario in which booker comes over is so tantalizing

We're more likely waiting for the Nets to sign and trade Russell to us. If they renounce him we need to clear even more cap space.

But if they’d S&T him they need a third team to take on the cap coming back (and maybe a bit more)

yes that is what is needed. So the Wolves should already have deals to acquire the needed cap space in place than just add Brooklyn into the deal.

It’s happening. Knicks will be a part of the deal.

Don’t lose hope. It’s all good.

You guys realize that this one poster is the guy who kept getting the Jimmy Butler trade wrong. Dude is just making up stuff. He dissapeared as soon as the Butler trade happened

I've heard we are competing with the warriors and lakers to sign Dlo. I really hope we can offer more money and his relationship with KAT makes us more atteactive.

The thing is we need to trade him for sheer cap space because Brooklyn isn't getting any salary back. Cap price drives up as teams sign deals. You have to move quickly but not overpay. It's a fine line.

Hope Wolves make it happen ASAP. Might have to attach couple 1st to move wiggins and teague/dieng. But it would be worth it. Dlo would find a good home. And Dlo and towns have potential to best one of best small big combo in the league.

It's either And or OR. In any scenario it has to be for sheer cap space.

It depends on how much russell wants.

If we give the full 117.2, we'd be bidding against ourselves.

If Dlo took something less, like a 4/92 type deal, then it is only teague that needs to be outgoing for space and whatever the nets want to facilitate the deal.

Knicks/Mavs/Clippers might be interested in taking on those contracts..they're one of few teams who has 20+ mil left to absorb contracts.

Ugh. If we haven’t lined up a deal by now, Russell is gone. I’d assumed before he’d go this far, the deal would be lined up. If I’m one of the few teams with cap space left, I’m asking for three FRPs at this point. They know we have no other options.
