Team practice/individual workouts are at a different intensity from scrimmages/games. And no, I don't think Culver has gotten any 5-on-5 run in. When would he? He went straight from the national title game into draft prep into draft workouts. First of all, he needs some sort of a break. Sure he'll still get workouts in, but again that's a different intensity from games.

And its pretty clear to me this is to preserve his (and Nowell) value and health in case of be included in a trade.

Also, while doing it well in Summer League is obviously preferable, doesnt really mean nothing. In the other hand doing it bad is a cause of concern.

So if the organization views them as key pieces of the team's future, they wouldn't care about preserving their health?

Healthy basketball players playing basketball shouldn't be much cause for concern IMO. Sure injuries happen.
