I was concerned that Wiggins was too passive at Kansas, and he had the same issue for about the first 20 games. He took a big step though somewhere around that first game against Cleveland. Now he looks like a legitimate future superstar.

Andrew Wiggins just coined a better phrase for us than "eyes on the rise,'....."The Uprising"

Anyone else noticed him thank the fans of Canada before the fans of Minnesota? There is no doubt in my mind he ends up playing for Toronto before its all said and done.

I know I will probably get scrutinized here for it but its most definitely not the first indication of it. Every Raptors fan has these indications memorized and bookmarked to videos. I just like to point out the subtleties.

Ehhh, subtleties that you read as him leaving. These remind me of the same subtleties that people said Rubio and LaVine didn't want to be here. I get that Wolves fans feel this insecurity with players, but he said it himself
“I love Minnesota,” Wiggins said. “They treat me nice up there. I plan to be there a very, very, very long time.”

Notice he thanked fans of Canada, not fans of Toronto.

Its funny to see a guy who has been in the spotlight be so shy to speak in front of people.

Well deserved. We have a chance to build something special around Wiggins, Rubio and whatever our top pick will be in the draft.

Wiggins, 20, received 110 of 130 first-place votes and 604 total points from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. The Chicago Bulls' Nikola Mirotic finished second with 335 points (14 first-place votes), and Nerlens Noel of the Philadelphia 76ers was third with 141 points (three first-place votes). Players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote.

So for as much huffing and puffing going around the forums about mirotic and noel it was basically a land slide victory for wiggins. Hope the haters aren't too butt hurt about it!

I'm from Western Canada and as much as Id like to see him in a Canadian organization it doesn't really matter. I feel MIN is closer to "Canada" then Toronto is Canada lol its right in the middle. Id be more likely to see a game in MIN then TO. In regards to him leaving for RAPS, Andrew is to loyal to do that, plus didn't he move his family out there? As long as MIN shows some promise he will be a lifer.

I look out my office window and see Canada. It's only about 500 feet away. 8-)

Love it.

Who could have possibly seen something like this happening 2 years ago?

There were a lot of crazy things that had to go exactly how they did for Wiggins to end up in Minnesota.

Whatever happens in the draft lottery will be a bonus. Wolves already got a franchise player last offseason.

Time to spam the Raptors board?

No, but seriously, don't do it. We're better than that.

Next piece of hardware, Shabazz getting that most improved player award next season.

I am really excited to see Shabazz and Wiggins playing together, both healthy, both at a high level. If Bazz comes off the bench I think it could give a lot of teams fits having to always deal with a wing that creates problems and brings energy.
