It may take Jimmy a while to get used to the new squad. When he establishes himself it will be welcomed as Simmons isn't that great of a scorer. I do love how Embiid seemed adamant last night that he was going to get his shots though lol. Its like he was telling Jimmy right away "You aren't freezing my ass out!" I think Jimmy isn't going to be able to do whatever the hell he wants and get away with it like he was here which is good for him too.

Interesting Thibs is no longer Jimmy's coach but he still logs a team-high 38 minutes.

Jazz fans really going after Rubio, who is known to be a slow starter to the season. I don't think he'll survive (metaphorically) if Utah doesn't get out of their slump.

Teague for Rubio straight up. Who says no?

An easy yes. If Rubio plays well we resign him for reasonable money. If not we have 19 mil free next summer.

I don't believe you. Thibodeau is the only coach in NBA history who played anybody more than 36 minutes.....

Wilt Chamberlin?? Who's that? Well he must have been injured and out of the league within a couple years playing all those minutes....

Watching Utah probably lose to the Celtics right now. To start the game, they seem to have zero offense capable of getting by Celtics defense, and Rubio is about all the defense the Jazz were showing. Rubio broke up the Celtics first three possessions himself and then on a break away he fails an easy layup because of pressure from Brown, but Gobert finished it. The score was 2-0 Jazz after about 6 possession. Then Kyrie heated up for 5 straight points.

Then Jae Crowder comes in so the lineup includes Rubio, Mitchell, Crowder and the Jazz look like a completely different and capable team on both ends.

It shows the magic of fit and the importance of the fitting role player. Echoes what we are seeing in Timberwolves lately with RoCo, Saric and Okogie. Crowder is impressive, would like to see him on this team. Okogie reminds me of him in how much he can change the flow when he comes in. Doesn't matter how down they are, he will bring positive movement. As I'm writing this, the Jazz are up 23-20 with the Homer refs helping the Celtics with every soft touch.

The Timberwolves seem deeper than the Jazz right now. They have a few really shaky bench players. Still, 31-22 Jazz right now. Still expecting Celtics to heat up in the 4th and win. That's if the Rubio Jazz don't run away with it first.

Jimmy flustering at 25% shooting. 23 minutes late in the 4th against Hornets. 7 pts. For whatever reason I don't have access to that game. Blasphemously wrong blackout silliness.

Nba officials really hate the hornets or really love the 6ers.

I suppose they fed Jimmy's free looks at the stripe late. That's why he gets the big bucks.

The Rubio (20pts) Jazz punked the Celts in green county. Both teams shot horribly all game. Defense did it all.
