Jaden's playoff efficiency numbers are LEGIT no. 2 level. Dude is a stone cold assassin. We are good now. Focusing roster construction on players that perform under pressure cannot be understated..

Jaden isn't going anywhere.

Too little for Zion? No need for DET at all? Would NOP just take Randle and Rob for themselves?

This for me would address A LOT of the biggest needs the Wolves have. Both Lonzo and Zion love to push the pace, love to put pressure on the rim, both are great passers and Rudy would finally have someone to throw him lobs.

Then if Fears is really falling that hard at #17 that'd be a homerun IMO.

Zion is an injury waiting to happen. I'd stay far away no matter how good he is.

We give up everything we can to build around Ant/Jaden/Giannis, then monopolize free agency with a lot of freed up money and ring chasers (PG/PF/C).

Mil IN: Rudy, Naz (extend), DDV, RD, #17, #26, #27, #31, 2030 FRP (SAS)

MN IN: Giannis
MN OUT: Rudy, Randle, Naz, RD, DDV, Minott, #17, #31, 2030 FRP (SAS)
VET PG/Ant/Jaden/Giannis/Vet C
Mike/Clark/TSJ/FA/FA

($73m for 6 FA)

I love Giannis but giving up Gobert, Randle, DDV, Naz, Minott, Dilly and all those picks for Giannis???? Come on! We're sending out 120 million. Ridiculous.

How about Gobert and Randle plus a pick. That's all I'd give up. OK you could throw in Minott too. How is Minott for a sweetner?

Going to have to blow the Bucks away to acquire him. We'd have money for some damn good FA too.

I know, that may be. Still, Milwaukee is losing with Giannis and I hear they may shake things up. They get 2 starters With Gobert and Randle. Those salaries match up pretty well. I wouldn't throw in too much more. They either do it or they don't. We traded KG for chit so never say never. Gobert and Randle is a big haul for them.

JMD is in the trade if we get Giannis

Would you trade Rudy and Jaden for Giannis?

Wow! That's tough because I love Jaden who is on the verge of stardom. I do think I'd do it though. Giannis is the perfect fit here. Giannis could put us over the top. We could acquire a big like Sorber to take Rudy's spot. Even Kalkbrenner at #31 would do. Raynaud?

Thoughts?

Great idea! I would do that in a heartbeat. I don't think Chicago does. We'd have to throw in someone else.

I really think the Wolves are going with Dilly and Conley this year at PG. I like Ball though regardless of injury history.

Vuc sucks, ball is made of glass. Rudy is worth more.

Giannis is the 2nd or 3rd best player in the world.....

think of what you'd accept for a ANT trade, then add three unprotected picks

I wonder if any NAW sign-and-trade means no DDV trade

Word is that the Hawks, at roughly $30 million below the luxury-tax line, are expected to register interest in a sign-and-trade deal with Minnesota to try to acquire Nickeil Alexander-Walker — among various options that Atlanta is exploring with its trade and financial flexibility — in the event that the Timberwolves, in their quests to re-sign Julius Randle and Naz Reid, run out of the flexibility needed to re-sign Alexander-Walker.

So...Collin Sexton...I have watched/know very little...worth targeting or poor fit?

Taking back salary is really hard given the matching rules for players like NAW getting a greater than 20% raise. It's why the Atlanta thing is so interesting as they have a $25M trade exception from the Murray trade. They could send us a pick and easily fit him into that exception.

I came across an article suggesting DDV/Rob for Coby White. But I've seen other places suggesting more than that for White.

he's the top "realistic" guard for me

he just really hasn't had a chance to be on a good team

drafted by post-Lebron rebuilding Cavs, got hurt the year they got Mobley/Lauri and were turning the corner, then was traded for D Mitchell

his competitiveness is something that Jim Petersen would always point out on tv broadcast

friends with ANT as they are both from Atlanta area

he's not really a "PG" in terms of passing and running an offense, and is going to be limited defensively like most "PG" sized players

I don't really see a big difference in skill sets/limitations between Sexton and C White, White has just played in a bigger market on a semi-competitive team

if Sexton is available for less

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
