Wolves outside KAT and Edwards have made just 4 FGs out of 20 attempts...need to step up

Until Russell and Beasley get back, Towns and Edwards seem to be the only ones you can count on nightly.

I love McDaniels. He’s done nothing offensively but already so good defensively.

The problem with Nowell and Beasley is that neither adds much besides shooting. Thus, when the shots not falling like Nowell tonight, they are a negative on the court.

We desperately need a versatile PF.

Lets see what Nowell does in second half, Beasley has had games where he is ice cold in first then turns it on in second.

Rewatched certain parts out of curiosity. Not to be a “Negative Nancy”, I don’t know how you fix Anthony Edwards’ defense. It’s rookie Zach LaVine levels of problematic.

Dude is mostly balling out offensively tonight, though.

I actually think Nowell is a solid-mediocre defender. Beasley is a bad defender but he hustles and I think he can get a lot better. Both need to improve.

Got to think with Dlo and Beasley out there though, the offense would be way better, guys are getting solid looks, they just can't him them right now. Maybe we take a defensive hit but imagine if Beasley was there tonight, these KAT pass outs would be a death sentence.

A good PF would help just as much though. Imagine all these bricks and a solid PF getting offensive boards and making teams pay. You can see how we can become dangerous if we get the right personnel.

Big game as in great play or big game as in 22 shots at 39/31/80?

Who would you prefer takes more shots today?

Edwards
39/31/80 on avg of 18.3 shots/g since Dlo stopped playing
39/32/80 //overall

Nowell
43/42/86 on avg of 8.1 shots since Dlo stopped playing
46/40/85 //overall

I would like to see Edwards have 8 drives above rim today and 3 outside open shots off passes. Then have Nowell take 16 shots and see if he can keep his numbers going or not.

What did you do to Nowell? Super trashy so far tonight

Jinxed? He plays better later in games than he does early. Unless they yank him. But I wasn't watching so I don't know if this is your typical Nowell aloof takes or if he's really struggling.

His frame and speed can make him a truly great defender.

He does give up real quickly on screens, and he doesn’t switch quickly, but he’s a promising one on one defender..

One on one defense is overrated in the NBA though. Players are too good, gotta learn to be a great team defender

Why is the defense collapsing so much though...they are leaving the corner 3 open on so many possessions

Wolves losing rebound battle 33-19. It's a throwback to early in the season.

He seems to get lost or lose him many on way too many possessions. I don’t know if he just doesn’t care about defense or doesn’t understand the system.
