Chris Flinch not much of an upgrade over Ryan Saunders. Should have hire an interim and see how the Bucks does in the playoffs cuz budenholzers job may be on the line if bucks falter.

We had no bench except Reid and played them tough. Their bench beat us 38 to 25. There you go.

McD was decent.

Agree.

If our only advantage was a deeper bench and they went outscored... no chance at all.

Think some of you guys are flying off the handle. The Nuggets are way better than us, even injured. Jokic is playing at a career peak right now, his team is tailor-made to play around him, they are playing so damn good that they nonly got 9 free throws and still had full control of this game.

We just aren't there as a team yet we were still in this game. We don't have enough good role players, are new stars like Dlo and Ant still don't have a full handle on how they fit with this team. This isn't Finch flopping as a coach or this doesn't mean that KAT is a bum, we just don't have the cohesion and abilty to hang with the Nuggets for real right now.

We just started to crawl after not being able to stand all season, we win a few games and people think we are ready for a record-setting mile run  .

Free throws, rebounding, marcus howard and cancar. Very winnable game if we controlled those 4

Nuggets are freaking huge. That Jokic/MgGee frontcourt just smashed us. We have struggled mightily against bigger teams this season and these guys were big and good, have a hard time handling that physicality.

We're tying but we're small and young. Young matters when you are going against men vets. Vando is getting better little by little but he needs to learn how to block out and anticipate where the ball will bounce off the rim on rebounds. It just takes time.

Juancho has some size but he plays so small and worse yet is so inconsistent. A strong rebounding PF is our most pressing need. I love Mobley but I also love Scotty Barnes. I know we probably lose our pick but we have to find that type. He doesn't have to shoot the 3 either. Think Dennis Rodman or Draymond Green.

We need an alpha 2 , Kat aint it.
green/Ant duo?

In dont care about green. We need a legit big

I still don’t know how I’d feel about moving Towns to PF. KAT isn’t nearly as bad as he looked tonight. He wants to be as good as Jokic and he’s just not. If someone like Turner came at a discount, I wouldn’t fight that move though.

If our lotto ball comes up, I want Suggs/Cunningham. Get Rubio to the bench for his last year and keep DLo off the ball.

Heck, Mobley is good too. Just really hope we get lucky. What we really need is just more talent. Ant is Ant. Not sure Towns and DLo are the 2/3 on a championship team though.

I'm convinced if Towns is a #2 on a team you have one hell of a #1. Kat is exceptional in many areas but nobody is perfect and he has a couple of weaknesses. He has to improve there. I think he will.

We do need more talent for depth period. I'm loving our future.

All these giant teams in the league and we came I to the season with Josh Okogie at power forward. Crazy how that works.

Great point. How is that working for us? Sheer lunacy.

KAT seems like the guy who would have issues to be #2 though. I think best to move on from him, hes fools gold. Along with him send DLo to greener pastures. Rubio should be let go as well obviously. This team can go somewhere...man even the Knicks played well this season, why should the Wolves never be able to?

KAT has spent his entire career sharing the offensive load, usually with a subpar player, I don’t know what reason there would be for thinking he’d be an unwilling #2.

Left field question, but does anyone have a resource they can link to for Wolves stats by game when Karl is in vs on the bench. Ant is no doubt an impact player, but I notice that when KAT is on the bench and Ant is in he is no where near as effective. Dlo, Ricky, Juancho, pick a name and the same holds true. Naz may be the exception, but if his shot is falling I think he follows the same pattern. The shift in defensive scheme to account for KAT creates a ton of opportunities for everyone else.

A shorthanded Nuggets team was far superior than the Wolves last night. This roster needs a big quality jump so he can compete for the playoffs.
The coach is the right one, I believe. Now is on Rosas to make a well constructed roster for new season.

I wonder about that. On any given night one team can get hot. They had a couple of guys who normally don’t shoot well light us up. Meanwhile our usual suspects like Reid and Juancho underperformed. Also if you watch KAT in the first quarter his wrist is clearly not okay. He got hit by Jokic and they reviewed for a flagrant because KAT was on the verge of tears, I suspect that was about his wrist as well. Finally, the story of the game was offensive rebounding for the nuggets. We need to improve on box outs but we also need more size. Naz and KAT together solved that issue for the most part, but we don’t have another C to compensate for the increase in Naz minutes/ risk of foul trouble. Minor tweaks can fix some, healing will fix some, and random luck/variation accounts for some as well.

Our roster is simply soft and fickle ... like it or not guys like okogie, culver, Rubio outwork our players with more talent.
