You were literally just chastising people because they didn’t want him to feed his kids even if found guilty lol

I made no chastisement literal or otherwise. I was just asking the question. Is taking away a persons best means of making a living a good solution to people who do bad things.

His best means? Why should I care about a multi millionaire who decides to abuse his family?

From what I could find, the child abuse charges are because he abused a parent in front of her children.
Not because he struck the children.

He is accused of doing something very bad. He is going to pay for it. Is he supposed to crawl into a hole and die now?
Those kids not only went through something traumatic, they are also losing their father.
Forget basketball, I am rooting for him to turn his life around and that justice is fairly served.

Yeah he should crawl in a hole and die, this is what the POS got caught doing, not what he's actually done. Domestic abuse isnt punished as heavily as it should be. He's a 240 lb man beating on a woman and traumatizin his children there is no excuse.

So your attitude is people who do something wrong need to crawl in a hole and die. I'm sure glad you don't run the world or run anything.

Cool to know you condone domestic abuse.

So your attitude is that we should just let people off scot free then? Bundy, Dahmer - by your logic we should give people like that a second chance.

Do you actually know how terrifying domestic violence is? Because it's horrific torture that is truly irreparable. 16% of murders are from domestic violence. So the next time you go writing some **** about how you think everyone should be treated "fairly" think about other people's perspective. Think about the psychological, emotional, and physical trauma that these victims go through.

Honestly with Dlo and Rudy he might earn it and more. Dlo is at his best as a PNR PG. Rudy is THE BEST PNR big in the league. Could be scary good.

It depends. If he was writing bad checks, that's one thing. If he beat the crap out of his wife in front of his kids, that's irredeemable (assuming his life wasn't somehow threatened).

As someone that likes dogs more than most people, I could never root for Vick, and I would've easily boycotted the Vikings if they signed him post-prison.
I have to agree with BJM on this. No matter what he does with his life from here, he has harmed the kids in all this. Who knows what effect it will have on them. That makes his crimes (allegedly) someone I could never support.

Vick and Miles are worlds apart. Not even close.

First of all Miles has not been found guilty of anything. If he's guilty what's your solution. Execution. Take away his right to make a living at what he's good at? Make it so he's unable to support his kids. Hate him forever no matter how much he reforms. Whatever has happened can't unhappen. All anybody including you and I can do is the best we can from today forward.

By the way most people consider Vick worse. I take it you consider Miles if guilty to be worse.

If Miles is allowed to play NBA basketball this year I will happily accept every point, rebound, assist, steal, 3 and block he gets.
You do what you want. I don't appreciate violence of any kind. You suggest that he can BEAT his wife, in FRONT of their kids, and should be allowed to play ball because his kids need the money and you need the STATS. Did I get that right?

He is accused of abusing his kid. Yes, I hope if found guilty they take all of his money away and give it to his kid.

People are ready to forgive him and want to sympathize for abusing people before he is even punished

It's my nature to forgive. I think it's a strength. Some would think it's a weakness. I'll do my forgiving of him once it gets to the point of him being in need of forgiveness.

I also believe in second chances. But sounds like he's no use to you if he's not playing BBall. Should All rapist and murderer's get another chance? Just because you do time doesn't mean that you are ready to go back to society. So he does 4-6-12 years and gets out and beats his EX-wife again.
How about IF this is true, think about the impact it has on his KIDS for seeing this violent act. Their lives change. Period. Maybe better, maybe worse. (Growing up without a father) IF he did this, he should NEVER be allowed to put on a NBA uni.

I'm not going to respond to any one person. I'm going to make one last general post regarding this. Yes I absolutely believe in second chances for rapists, murderers, dog abusers and any other crime committed in the history of the world. If a person is not going to be allowed to live their life after a prison sentence than they should have been executed immediately after being found guilty. Do people repeat crimes. Yes sometimes they do. The only surefire solution is to put to death all criminals rather than waste taxpayers money punishing or reforming them.

As if I condone violence of any kind domestic or otherwise. Let me help you out. I DON'T. I've been forgiven by God so who am I to deny forgiveness to anyone. I don't see it as my duty and obligation to continue the punishment of now ex offenders after the courts are done with what the judge deemed the appropriate amount of punishment.

Their is nothing special about playing NBA basketball. It's a job like any other except it pays more than most. Once a person has done their time they should be able to make a living in any manner they can with a few exceptions. Persons with a history of child abuse should not be working with kids for example.

What can be done about these adds that pop up in the middle of the screen going all the way to the top, with no option that I can see to close them. Do we just have to wait until they disappear.

Easier said than done on a mobile browser, but there probably are some out there with integrated ad blocking and stop script... brave? tor?... no idea.

I'm on iOS, and even the totally free version of 1Blocker shuts them down completely in Safari. I'm sure there are many apps that will do the same.

I have ad blocker on my home computer, but I'm not adding it to my work computer. I thought I saw those ads on my home computer as well. Maybe it's just work.

I am not aware of any app for Android that integrates into browsers, your browser needs to have built in ad block. In addition to the two I listed ad block plus has a browser. The issue is there is no app and extensions can't be enabled on the major browsers for mobile. If you want to block ads you need to switch browsers and many are tethered to the larger operators and don't want to switch. That is my point. It is easier said than done.

That surprises me. I assume (maybe wrongly?) Androids use a mobile version of Chrome? If so, I'm shocked there aren't a ton of ad block extensions.

Luckily this nation has freedom from religion so we don’t just have to forgive a family abuser because God forgave you. It is absolutely disgusting that we are even talking about this guy going back in being in his families life before he even gets a slap on the wrist. Why can’t he live his life without the family he doesn’t appreciate?

There are extensions for chrome on PC (I run 6: AdBlock plus, Ublock Origin, Ublock extra, Privacy Badger, https everywhere and ghostery), they don't allow extensions for mobile however. There is no option for extensions under settings, your extensions don't show up even when synced and logged in.

That's a shame. With iOS, you just select Safari in your settings and then select what apps (or features of apps) you want to allow.
