Thanks, sounds like an interesting player. Hope he comes over well prepared in a year or so.El Hespiritu wrote:About Bolmaro... just 5 cents.
Not a shooter at all. From any distance.
Some good manners driving to the rim. He's not scared to finish at bigger guys
The skillset and vision of a PG into a small-forward body frame.
Quicker than he looks, sturdy, with amazing ball handling skills and comfortably over NBA average passing game.
Defensively commited but yet too aggressive.... he needs to gain control to avoid fauls.
Hard-noised guy. Never step back from a fight. You can't intimidate him.
A lot of room to improve. Good work ethics.
Besides, he's argentinian.
You're never wrong when you take an argentinian. Guys have competetiviness in the blood.
He needs to get better to become useful and develope some reliable shooting spots.
He might do it in relatively short time.
Time will tell.

Re: NBA Draft Day Thread
Even though i'm reading some negativity here, I just wanted to congratulate you guys on this draft night. Future will tell, but i believe Rosas has done an incredible job with the assests available.
Rubio, while not a star, he's really solid. Quite underrated nowadays. It's important that playmaking responsabilities would be split between D-Lo and Rubio so that Edwards can only focus in scoring/shooting.
To give some context on Bolmaro. He's playing with the first team of the Euro league current LEADER, Barcelona. He's not playing many minutes cause he's in one of the best teams, but due to some injuries he had to play some point, though he's originally a 2 guard.
I don't know how playing for one of Europe best teams would compare to playing in Germany or 2nd division in Greece like some other Euro prospects. I think Bolmaro has the talent to develop into something really good. Time will tell, but having Prigioni there would definitely help his development.
Bolmaro is the kind of player that has geniuos in him -which doesn't mean he would be a good player in the NBA-. His highlights, while sometimes misleading are very promising. I think you really nailed this pick.

Man - Oturu probably dreamed about being drafted by the Timberwolves ...

Pick 17 and 33 for 23 and 28. Instead of choosing from a wider selection of front court players (Nnaji) at #17....we basically got the PF leftovers at #28 and still have a hole there because Rosas decided to draft a foreign stash guard with 23.
Fail.
#17 and #33 for #23, #28, and a starting-caliber Point-Guard.
Right. Forgot about Rubio. And I do like that move. I'm just upset that Rosas chose to trade #33 to move up two spots. PF was a huge hole and still is.
I don't know how Jaden McDaniel's could play without bulking up some yet, but he could possibly. He's got skill. He could add depth at PF at some point.

Still laugh when the Heat didn't want to trade him for Butler. You make that trade every day, twice on Sunday.

None. We ended up with 1-23-28. Edwards, Bolmaro and McDaniel. Got Ricky Rubio added in trade. That's what happened tonight.

If only Rosas wouldn't have thrown #33 into the trash can. Was pulling for the Wolves to draft Oturu.

Richardson is a good fit for Dallas. I'm guessing Tyler Terry with take over Seth Curry's role. Not gonna be easy since Seth was such an assassin.

It was a good draft. Wish Bolmaro was showing up this season though.
