The French word for wolf is loup. The French word for bear is ber. If we go with the Go Bear and Jo Bear, then they are loup bers. Teams used to just have to fear hungry Wolves, now they have to fear hungry wolf bears.

Similarly, I have thought Grady could somehow mix in "a le loup" (which means "has the wolf") during an alley-oop play, but I don't know how far off the pronunciation is.

I found a couple videos showing it, this one is the shortest. Though I still think it should be le ber.

Its 6.

You can't count the bottom row as #1.

Fun fact: We have not lost a regular season series to Oklahoma City since Ant's rookie season.

Continuity can help lead to a fast start.

By Thanksgiving last year, we were 8-10. What does the West look like in 2024-25 if the season started from that point on?

Thunder 54-10
Timberwolves 41-23
Nuggets 40-25
Lakers 39-25
Rockets 38-24
Clippers 38-24
Grizzlies 36-27
Warriors 36-28

We absolutely need a good start and not fighting for position all regular season. We have old players and they have to be fresh when PO come which is something we couldn't achieve last 2 years.
With the same group, i expect we stay confortable at top 1-3 all season long and can do some smart management. This is for me the key if we want to win this year.

In the "not that important" category, the collage of photos across the top of the Timberwolves franchise index page on Basketball Reference could look pretty different by the end of the season.

It's a list of top players in franchise history, ranked by "Total Win Shares" in a Timberwolves uniform. One or two new names could join the list by the end of the season, in Jaden McDaniels or Mike Conley. There should be some movement among the active players already on the list as well.

And where was this "continuity" last season. Oh, that's right, that went out the window with the Towns' trade.

That's not to say it was the right or wrong move. Just don't spout that drivel now to the fans.

So because last year's team did not have continuity, they can never talk about going into a new season with continuity?

Continuity is the key for us. This and young keeps improving. If ANT, Jaden, Naz, TSJ, Rob improves all by +/- 5%, we can dream. Mike being healthy, DDV as well and Rudy keep being Rudy will help too.
I have no concern about Julius, he is happy here and will be good. Exciting season ahead ! Go Wolves!

Really, Klomp?

I find it odd about the clamor for continuity a year after making the WCF, yet didn't the year before despite ending in the same spot.
