They threw everything they had at us and barely won with all unique struggles. This is there GSW/Suns back 2 back, and the same thing happened to them that happened to us.

We did something like that to the Spurs 4-5 years ago.

Scoot was an amazing -56 in the game.

He may be a player someday, but thank god nothing came of the "trade KAT for him" talks.

Dude is terrible at this point. Shooting 37/31/76 (and that should drop after tonight's stinker). 5 Assists vs 3.2 TOs. He's a trainwreck on defense and Portland is a better offense when he's not playing.

And one of his major red flags from his G League days is showing up big time. Despite his size, strength and athleticism, he really struggles getting all the way to the rim and finishing. He's only getting there on 27% of his shots and shooting a dismal 51% when he does get there. And he gets to the line less than 3x per game.

I was one of the people wanting to move KAT for him if we had to make a move, not that I wanted to dump KAT it seemed inevitable, very happy we didn't do that for Scoot.

Interesting debate by the guys and Chuck actually stuck up for MN. Should LBJ and Davis be considered? We know LBJ is grandfathered in.

It's a fan game. It is for the Fans and who they want to see. Nothing more.

If you care about production, look at the All-NBA teams and votes.

Its gonna be tough. Traditionally you award winning but outside of Ant, we don't really have players putting up sexy numbers. Towns and Gobert probably deserve to be there with Ant based on winning alone but neither Towns or Gobert are very popular. I could definitely see just Edwards making it there are a lot of really good players who will be left out. A lot of the big name stars are on mediocre teams right now and that complicated things quite a bit. Normally they would have no sho at getting in because their teams are not great but they are big names we always see so they will be in the game.

I wonder if TOR should trade Siakam now, and continue rebuild around Barnes, Barrett and Quickley

Siakam has tanked his trade value with his comments about not wanting to extend and preferring not to be traded. The Raptors should finish the year with him, hope he plays very well, and then sign and trade him to someone else next year.

Siakam is a very good player. He's the one Toronto should build around. Not Barrett and Quickley.

Barnes and Quickley are their future.

Siakim is still a really good player, but he'll be 30 when next season starts and his rebounding is terrible for a big, his defense isn't what it once was and he's not much of a threat from 3. He can still score a lot of points on volume and he's a very good passer, but he's not their cornerstone.

I can understand that thinking. I don't care much about age. Siakam is a much better player than Quickley. I would no sooner build around Quickley than I would around Jaden McDaniels. If Quickley is their future they have no future. I guess if they can get a similarly talented younger player for Siakam sure.

You really underestimate Quickley. He's a fantastic defender, a great shooter and he doesn't turn it over much. He's a legit 2-way star PG.

He was great (but underused) in NY and he's even better with a bigger role in Toronto. He's scoring 19 PPG (43/46/84) on good volume (Six 3PA/Game, Four FTA/Game), 5 Rebounds, 6 Assists, 1 Turnover, 1 Stock in 21 MPG. 24 years-old, 6'3 with a 6'8 wingspan. And a Kentucky pedigree.

I would not want my teams future tied to Quickley. He's riding a traded player high that you see many times. He will come back down to Earth. That's what I believe. I could be wrong.

But he's doing the exact same thing he was doing in NY. Just playing more minutes.

You could be right or I could be right. Time will tell. I will use him making all star teams as the gauge of being worthy of building around.
