2010 Knicks probably grab AT least one of the star free agents. And Rubio will be playing in Europe

:) I can laugh at that.

I will laugh when the Knicks overpay for a 2nd tier star and not land any of the big names because the big names actually want to go to a competitive team.

Actually I will laugh really hard when the wolves use their cap space to let a team make an offer for 2 1st tier free agents who sign together (Kaman and our 1st back from the clippers for cap space, letting the clippers get 2 max players), and the knicks don't get any of them because Minnesota gave other teams cap space to screw over the knicks.

And we will enjoy another losing season watching our young players develop and finishing better than the knicks (good luck with the lottery next year... oh wait)

LOL bitter? delirious from how much of a failure your gm and franchise is? after your gm has put your franchise in this mess, you talk about trades about how your team will "screw" the knicks. worry about not screwing yourselves first.

The franchise is not in a mess. Even if Rubio NEVER plays for the Timberwolves, it's not like we don't have Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Jonny Flynn, Corey Brewer and Wayne Ellington to keep things ticking.

What do you have? You have Jordan Hill and a bag of chips. If you fail to sign a franchise tier free agent such as LeBron or Wade, I can confidently say that we have the better future. Now kindly return to your board so you can spout more anally aborted tripe and pump up your big city superiority complex.

well whatever, you aren't getting anything too valuable anymore for him.

Considering, all other things being equal, the current odds of winning the championship are 1 in 30, the Wolves aren't exactly overdue (we've only been around for 20 years).

Minneapolis does have four championship from the 50's however, two which were gained at the expense of your lowly knickerbockers.

New York on the other hand only has 2 championships despite having a franchise since 1946!

So I guess you could say historically it looks like Minneapolis PWNS New York when it comes to basketball.

if wolves fans are sold on rubio, would you consider trading flynn? flynn for chandler? that's probably too high a price for the knicks, but just curious how you feel about flynn now.

Chandler is very overrated and I would not take him for anyone on this team. I would rather resign Rod Carney then have Chandler.

Flynn gets a year or 2 try out while RUbio is in europe. Not bad.

Yeah if Rubio will come to MN, which he really hasn't said he doesn't want to do yet despite all the BS, even after a year or two, I think it would be a great chance to see what Flynn can do and then when Rubio comes, if Flynn isn't playing well, it would be easy for Kahn to say look Ricky we will trade Jonny if you come. It woud also give him a chance to play some 2 guard next to telfair (who is no Rubio but quick as hell) and maybe if Flynn plays well there, then Rubio could warm up to the idea of playing together. I just want to know what he wants! I hate all this Brett Favre, what is he going to do crap! haha

Exactly. Good lord, now we're going to get flooded with low-ball offers for Flynn, even though trading him makes even less sense than trading Rubio.

Let's just say WE WILL NOT BE CONDUCTING ANY BUSINESS WITH NEW YORK. THERE IS A TRADE EMBARGO EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY BETWEEN MN AND NY.

This is a Chandler-free forum. See the rules. His name is not allowed to be mentioned here except in sig-worthy cases.

I would do flynn for gallinari (but I'm a big Gallinari fan, and I don't think a lot of wolves fans would do it)

But for Chandler.... NO!!!

But New York seems desperate to unload Chandler, so we will offer New York the following deals for Chandler
1) Chandler for Pecherov
2) Chandler, Sene for Telfair
3) Chandler, Sene for C. Smith
4) Chanlder, Mobley for your pick of Songalia, Cardinal, Thomas, Madsen, Telfair, Smith, Pecherov, Brown

-Notice to all the slower knicks fans, I am being sarcastic about the trade offers

How do you guy know Rubio may not wait out his rookie contract overseas or demand a trade out of Minny?

This can be Stephon Marbury sit out all over again.

Notice to Knicks fans, we are not trading Rubio for any of your current offers.

I would personally trade Rubio for this offer from the Knicks (but I can't think of any others that I would do)

Madsen, Brown, Cardinal, Songalia, rights to Rubio, Telfair for Gallinari, rights to Douglas, Duhon, Mobley, 2012 NY 1st

-so that's our offer, take it or leave it (and even then that's something I would do, the majority of wolves fans probably wouldn't)

This can be Stephon Marbury sit out all over again.

He can't sit out his rookie contract, his rookie contract begins once he comes over. If he came over in 2 years then he would still be signing for the rookie deal for 4 years + then he would still have RFA after that.

The only way that Rubio can get to the NBA without going to Minnesota is
1) through a trade (Wolves have the power)
2) he sits out a year from professional basketball (won't happen since he would have to still pay his buyout but now he isn't earning an income)

-So Minnesota controls Rubio's fate, and we want him here and are willing to wait.

Well in this case I seem to be living with the trolls since they are on our board. Plus the living under a bridge part was a shot at New York and their homeless. Not classy, I know. They bring me down to their level.. Trolls=Gareth Me=Tim (Office, UK)

The only player I'd entertain the idea of flynn swap for is Clark, and even that seems to be stretch unless to buyout situation is handled this season.

Damn that is dedication.lol Rubio at 27 could be on his rookie contract overseas waiting for a trade.

I just feel Flynn derserves you guys support soooooooooo much more he is marketable and he is one hell of a player and he is above all else wants to play for the Wolves. Package Rubio for a stud SG and this is a playoff contender.

NewEra -

Playoff contender isn't cutting it. We want to make something special. We are happy to sacrifice big time now in order to win big time later.
