Is that a surprise? Didn't he basically confirm that he would be returning if his team doesn't win?

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
So as prospects seem to be dropping like flys at the moment these are two guys still around that I like the look of.
Derrick Williams - Another power forward I know but this kid just knows how to put the ball in the basket. Talent wins out in the NBA and with such a weak draft we need to just grab the most talented player available.
Jordan Hamilton - I think this kid will be gone by the time our second pick comes along but if he is there I would love for us to grab him. His attitude can be a problem at times (lazy) but hopefully a dose of professionalism might point him in the right direction and he starts to put it together. If he ever does watch out because the kid is an immense talent.

"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

this says he hasn't decided yet and that a rumour was spread by a radio station...not sure what to believe, and there's no highlight on espn or yahoo saying it.

I should hope its a rumor, that'd be messed up if a reporter from Ames IA broke the first story in the state's history that didn't involve corn subsidies

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
Bismack Biyombo is getting some buzz on DX. He's an 18 yr old in the spanish league, I believe, who's really raw and right now is an intimidator on D and purely a dunker on O. His measurements are crazy. At the Hoops Summit he measured in at 6'9" with a 7'7" wingspan and 9'3" standing reach. Could he develop into the physical, athletic PF/C defensive force off the bench that we need if we took him with the Memphis pick? I read he's leading the spanish league in blocks in only 16 minutes a game. Will he even be around for the Memphis pick?

I was annoyed because he claimed that 5th would be the best he'd be drafted. Top 11 would have been more appropriate, but I think the coach was looking out for his own interests by noting that 5th would essentially be the best case scenario.

My sources from Casey's General Stores have been pretty reliable. They always know how to get back on the highway.

I'm down for him or the Nogueira kid. I know less than nothing about either, but they both look the part for that area of the draft.

If we can get a young SG or C starter for it and it's outside of the top 3 then yeah.

Depends on who is available at our pick and what we would trade it for. I'm not on board with trading it just to trade it or trading it for a veteran just because we have a young team.

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
I would be more inclined to trade players on the current roster than our draft pick. I'll be happy with Irving, Barnes, Jonas, or Kanter.
Also, we have to get Biyombo.
