I wonder how many minutes Keita Bates-Diop will get to start the season, its gonna be a dogfight for minutes between Deng-KBD-Tolliver

People disrespect Deng but I think he could do something similar to what Luc Mbah-Moute did for Houston. Theres a difference between being bad and not getting an opportunity

I apologize if this has been discussed, but with reports of Jimmy playing, how do ya'll expect Wolves fans to act when he is announced?

He'll be booed for the first home game, then I expect it to die down if he's still here past this month

On that day, teams are locked down to their 15-player limits (plus two two-way deals). You can’t make a legal trade bringing in more players than you have slots for going out - even if you intend on dropping one of the players you receive.

Since Jimmy is a $20 mil contract himself, it will likely take more than one player to make a package that salary matches.

The Wolves already have 15-players under contract (once Jonathan Stark is released), and two two-way players, CJ Williams and Jared Terrell).

I think you are off by one, because we should have one open roster spot.

You’re right. Darius Johnson Odom is getting waived too, right?

Defining the SG and SF means very little.

Butler can definitely play either position with ease, but Wiggins is a bit skinny and gets outmuscled by the big SFs. I really think we very much underrate how good Butler is as a board. To me he is the single most LeBron like player in the NBA. His strength, offense, defense and style. Yes LeBron is a bit better at everything, but Butler is really amazing.

He was waived on Saturday.

So if we call Wiggins a SG, it means another team won't defend him with a bigger SF?

I really think this is pretty close to how it will go.

A lot will depend on team and individual performance. If we're winning and/or he's playing well, the boos will be quieted. I'm sure there will be some who will boo until the day he leaves the organization, but I think they are a minority and most people just want the team to play well.

Its a shame the Heat missed their chance to aquire Butler and stop being a treadmill team.

Jimmy has totally pissed me off, but I think booing is completely counterproductive. Of course some people might think it's motivation.

Jimmy can hear them celebrating his sick burns at practice!

Boo-urns! Boo-urns!

Simply put. He's no Lebron, but geez.

That's not it. I guess we could call him a center and they probably won't try guarding him with their center either. Wiggins is plenty tall and athletic to play the SF, but too skinny IMO. As long he is on the court at the same time with Butler it won't matter much.

IMO Jimmy is the most similar player to LeBron in the league.

First in body type and second in style of play. LeBron has no drama queen IMO and Butler didn't before now.

This works, but picks were a rumored issue ... they're needed to move Waiters on to someone with space...

Butler to Miami
Waiters + 1st/2nd round picks to SAC
MClemore + Richardson to MN
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
