Yeah I've got no problem with going out and getting Turner and/or Aminu. I was just pointing out that the team would probably still struggle from deep, but I'll admit it would depend a little on how Flynn progresses. Personally though I don't think Love should be relied on for his long range shooting. It's a bonus not a reliance.

That is the other problem I have with Aminu though. He's looking like a Josh Smith type forward, which I don't think fits into the team assuming Love and Jefferson stick around.

I was just going to mention him. 27/6.7/3.6 in Big East play. Getting to the line a tad over 11 times per game. 50FG%/32.63FG%/76.3FT%. He sifts his way through traffic really well.

I haven't seen Jones play this year, but if you were to just look at his box scores you'd think this guy was the next Dwayne Wade

DX has a nice recent update on him. I'm thinking if he was to pan out his best case scenario would be what I hoped Foye could be.

I'd take a long hard look at Quincy Pondexter with one of our mid-1sts

I'm all about taking vesely and stashing him away.

My god, I saw him play verse rubio and barca, and he was lights out. 13 pts and 15 rebs. Guy's don't usually put up 15 rebs in European games.

6"11 , athletic, great rebounder, can shoot from range. He just needs to develop his body. His skills are great. I know his buyout might have issues, but if we could afford to stash away a guy like we have with Pekovic, man alive he's it.

His team Partizan has beat Pekovics and Rubios team in the past week, and he's played great in both.

Now that the Charlotte pick will most likely be somewhere in the 15-20 range, do most of you college and foreign prospect followers still believe that the talent of pick 15-20 in 2010 is most likely better than the 18 pick last year?

For instance, guys like Lawson and Casspi were available last year.
Are there players with that sort of potential (or better) going to be available this year?

yes there are players with that kind of potential available this year.

Hindsight is always easier regarding drafts anyways. Sure Lawson and Casspi look pretty good, ( even if casspi ) is slowing down, although he's not getting as much run lately.

Some kids picked mid to late 1st in the 2010 nba draft will be very good as well, I think there will be more of them that do well in that range than last year actually.

This Vesely kid is bigger, way more athletic , better rebounder than Casspi, he can also shoot the rock, not quite as good as Casspi but pretty darn close and he's 6"11.

I don't regret that trade at all.

I'll wait to see what happens. While passing on Casspi is regrettable there's a chance the team could get someone on the same level, or maybe even better, with that Charlotte pick this year. You have to wait and see how it plays out before any judgement can be made.

lawson is bladow, if we hadn't drafted flynn he or holiday would have easily fallen into our laps @ 18 =\

That being said theres tons of talent in that range that would be great for the wolves, and that wasnt available last year in the 15+ range for the most part.

harris - meh
monroe - though I think he goes way earlier
george - i liked this kid last year and seems to have improved tons, usage is up and is producing
robinson - havent seen mech but seems like potential combo forward I'd like for the wolves
henry - he probably stays a year
Udoh - meh!
d James - meh?
varnado - i love this kid!

Plus the top 5 has several guys I'd be happy with..

wall
turner
johnson
aldrich
cousins\aminu (on the fence about both these guys for the wolves)

Anyone else think Whiteside might come out due to his relatively high age for his class? After thinking about it he seems to be the type of prospect the FO is looking for to compliment An Al/Love front court. If he comes out he could easily fall into the CHA pick range.

I definitely think he's coming out. He's a 20 year old freshman(will be 21 in June). If he stays, he'll have to really tear it up to avoid having people think he's peaked. Plus, if he continues his play, he'll go in the lottery, maybe top 10. Why take the risk?

And I'd like him more than Alabi if we were taking a big with the bobcats pick. Don't know if he'll be available that late though.

I like Whiteside more than Alabi too, but he just got pig-blapped by Jerome Jordan, and his shaky rebounding is a little worrisome.

Speaking of Jerome Jordan, I still like him with one of our picks, Utah or later if he's available. Especially if we draft wings with our early picks.

Every time I've seen Jordan play he's looked like warm poo, which is why Whiteside getting smoked by him worries me. He does have legit size, decent athleticism, and he's gotten better on the offensive end while in college, so I guess I can't hate him too much. Plus, he'll be 24 when next season starts. I'd prefer Varnado if they went big with a later pick.

If we keep winning, we'll have to start looking at someone other than Turner.

Well, Jordan is a senior while Whiteside is a freshman.....

while thats true one is a senior and one is a freshman...they aren't all that far apart in actual age. Whiteside is what 21?
