I just hope Flip gives Wiggins more of a green light on 3's this season. Yes, his improvements in the post were remarkable last season, but 3's are such an essential part of the modern game that it's confounding why a coach wouldn't encourage Wiggins to stretch his range out to the 3.

It's a hell of a lot easier to learn to take threes then to attack the hoop, Flip made the right decision. Telling Wiggins to stand out behind the line to shoot threes wouldn't speed his development at all. I can shoot threes, it's easy... Spin moves past defenders into dunks is pretty damn hard.

I dont think it was Flip telling him not to shoot 3's.

Read an interview where Wiggs said he started to go inside more because he didnt feel he was getting enough lift on his jumper because his legs were tired. So he decided to work closer to the rim and get to the line more.

He will work with a trainer in Los Angeles to get stronger and improve his skills.

“I shot the ball well, from the three-point line, at the beginning of the year, middle of the year, too,” Wiggins said. “And then I felt my legs got tired or something.

It is crazy watching all these highlights and seeing how many times he was so close to finishing a basket and getting the foul, but the ball just rolls of the rim. I think Jim Pete said it, but those are going to go down a lot more once he gets stronger and more experience.

Andrew Wiggins - The King of the North (Ch.1 The Young Wolf)

Post#888 » by BirdmanPresents » Sun Jun 14, 2015 6:45 pm

Raptors fan sharing my new video about Andrew Wiggins rookie season. Thought you guys would be interested in watching.

The first of a series of videos following what I hope will be Andrew's long and successful NBA career.

The Young Wolf, features Andrew Wiggins' rookie campaign from initial criticism after college and before the draft, to his rookie of the year performance throughout the season. "The King of the North" refers to both Andrew Wiggins solidifying his role as a star in the league for Minnesota, as well as being one of the most promising NBA players from north of the border.

For GOT fans, yes there are references/themes to the show throughout the mix, but you don't need to be a fan to understand the video.

Enjoy!

Hello my upper-midwest comrades! I made some highlights of Wiggins that I thought you might be interested in while you anxiously await the draft. I'm gonna tell you straight up, that not much editorial discretion was used. Don't tell the Bucks board, but I think this dude is way more impressive than Jabari.

Irving-Wiggins-James would have been a dynasty, what the hell were the Cavs thinking?

"Wiggins is too similar to Lebron, better trade him."

Look in the latest thread about Embiid on the GB, same story.

Its the same 4 or 5 posters everytime. Just put them on ignore. I have brought this up before but one of those posters was ADAMANT that Evan Turner was better than Rubio when he was still on the Sixers. That should tell you all you need to know.
