Gordon is also a very likeable guy, but I see a lot of bust potential.

Agreed. I'd take Randle too, just seems like the sensible pick.

At 13 I'm all aboard dunkonu's KJ McDaniels hype train

What you guys think about Zach Lavine at 13th ? He looks really good.

The Espn Lottery Mock draft gives us always Z.Lavin at 13th.

Im from Europe, i dont watch to many college games, but i was looking at youtube and he looks good.

I don't want Randle if we get rid of the Love. I want someone who actually complements Pek; that person being Gordon who has more potential than anyone aside from Wiggins. Also I think we should absolutely be targeting Levine at 13. I don't understand why people aren't talking more about him.

That's what I thought regarding Randle. I will admit my knowledge on him isn't great, but I swear I read somewhere his defense needs a ton of work, seems to me it'd be like going right back into a Love/Pek situation, where they don't compliment eachother well.

based on DX's mock I think I would have to go Ennis at #13. Does it make sense to take a back up PG though if Love is being traded?

He's my number one target at #13, i think he has the highest upside after the top 5-6. He can handle the ball pretty well, is an elite, elite athlete and can shoot. He needs to work on his body and just overall needs experience so may be a couple of years away from being a true rotation player but I think he can be a really dynamic, impact player. If we could get him and Vonleh, I'd be stoked.

No, and it doesn't make much sense to go backup PG even if he isn't traded. We could easily get a solid 10-18 mpg guy in free agency.

Ok the KJ McDaniels crush is fading. I'm all about DeAndre Daniels with his 7'2" wingspan, quick feet and smooth fadeaway jumper. Swing for the fences baby! He has just as much upside as LaVine with a higher floor.

Trade Turiaf, JJ, Shved and Budinger for KG. Boooom!

Rubio/(Livingston or Harris FA)
Brewer/Martin
Daniels/Bazz
Love/KG
Pek/Dieng

Roll with that and make the playoffs, then tell KLove to re-sign if he wants to keep the ball rolling. Maybe he'll realize Rubio is his John Stockton...

He's also projected as a 2nd rounder by DX and only has a 32" max vert.

His max vert reach is pretty good @ 11'6.5" (higher than Exum, Stauskas and Hairston). I'm not worried about it, his 7'2 wingspan makes all the difference on that small vert. He is also skinny as a rail, so if he gains some weight his vert will increase.

wing rankings (05-20-14) ((Defense and Shooting two biggest factors.)
1. Daniels (crazy length)
2. McDaniels (jumps outta the gym)
3. Glenn Robinson (hopefully can improve jumper)
4. TJ Warren (floater is CP3-like, is he a tweener?)
5. Hood (silky offense, good bball IQ, crappy D, not hopeless?)
6. Lavine (bball IQ?)
7. Harris (too small)
8. Hairston (personal red flags)
9. James Young (terrible D, Hood is better version)
10. Nik "Fatty" Stauskas (terrible D, body fat is crazy high)

If you take KJ McDaniels or DeAndre Daniels at #13 the GM gets fired. Some of you really need to do your research. I think James Young is the best fit for the Wolves.

If Love is gone, I'd be on board with McDermott if he falls to 13. I think he could bring a lot to a team that doesn't already have a better version of him on the roster in Love.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Seems like he's head and shoulders above the other guys there. Some mocks have him going as high as 8. Sucks he'd be a back up guy, but I think other guys we'd take - Harris, Staukas, Young, etc. would all be back ups as well.

I disagree with Ennis. He is maybe a good player.
But until we have Rubio and Dieng i think our focus should be SG then PF then SF position.
I would pick Stauskas or Young with #13
I would pick Randle or Vonleh with #6 (BOS trade)
I would pick Wiggins with #1 (CLE trade)

He wasn't.

He went in the second round.

But he should have been, which I think is the point.

Daniels is 6'8" and weighs 195... so he's another Corey Brewer? No thanks we need some guys that can hold their ground.

Its about reading and trusting the board.

Using football, people thought Bridgewater was the No. 1 pick, and that we shouldn't have passed on him at 8. If we would've done that, our first round draft would've been half as successful.

Exactly, Corey Brewer does a great job. However, Daniels has a little more wing skill set than Brewer including more ISO ability, better shooting.

Every prospect should be looked at for fit on this team, there could be a can't mis prospect that is on the board for us, but if he can't shoot the 3pt then what is the point. Win-now teams need fit...I.E. San Antonio always drafts for FIT!
