I hate when people that use the word “literally” like that.
The only reason the word was created was to help people distinguish reality extremes from hyperbole, and now it’s used AS hyperbole.

One of my biggest pet peeves there is is that one of the definitions of literally is not literally. It defies all reason and logic. It's impossible for anything to be the negation of itself and yet that is what you find in the dictionary is that the meaning of literally is not literally.
This change was made because idiots were using it wrong for so long that the dictionary people decided to add their wrong use to the definition.
