Boxing also bores me to tears. I used to enjoy it back when Tyson was fighting and knocking heads into the 16th row. Mayweather and Klitschko style have really killed the sport in my opinion. I enjoy the UFC from time to time but there's too many fighters who are content with just taking a guy down and laying on him and doing no damage to abuse the scoring system. I actually feel as though kickboxing is far superior to both UFC and Boxing. GLORY and K-1 are the two major organizations

The good thing is that Dana White agrees with you - guys that try to wrestle **** their open to death inevitably get cut at the first chance. Like Jon Fitch - he was a great winner, but his style was absolute boredom. Usually a top guy will have to lose a few fights in a row before getting cut, but Fitch lose 2 of 3 and was gone.

The bigger problem is it seems like a 50/50 chance that a top fight will get cancelled by an injury (or occasionally, a felony hit and run) - it happens all the time and it's annoying. ..

John Fitch was absolutely brutal to watch. Phil Davis was another, thankfully they're both out of the promotion.

And I do agree, injuries have been a huge problem for the UFC and I'm honestly not sure why.

So the guy I hired for my seasonal position just had his offer rescinded because he failed his drug test. He thought it would be OK for a drug tested federal gov't position because he has a medical marijuana prescription in California. smh Now the earliest I can have somebody start (and this is assuming I can get a replacement immediately) is June 14, three days before I leave for a two week trip to Ireland. Damn potheads.

Setting aside the way he has handled his terms of presidency but he really comes across as real genuinely awesome guy. I know the speeches at the Media Correspondence Dinner (or whatever it's called) are scripted but he's the one who reads them to the world. I think I saw his last three speeches and I LOL'ed several times.
On the other hand, Bush Jr. seems to be a swell dude in private, too. Or at least from what I've read on the Internet.

Well, just made the decision that I'm moving up to Minneapolis this summer.

I'm so excited, gotta say. Hopefully I can catch multiple Wolves games this year and for years to come. Getting Towns/Okafor is going to make it even better.

Just giving you guys a little taste of what real men play.

Basketball is great to watch, but will never match the AFL for exhilarating sports viewing.

As it turned out, I went to my first AFL game yesterday. It was pretty interesting to watch, no doubt about it, but I have yet to fully understand the rules.

To be honest, though, I kinda missed some of that 'brutality' yesterday. Maybe it was a rather boring match but I don't know. What I found really interesting was the fact that while a few players had a fight (probably 5-8 players involved) the rest of the game continued. So fascinating.

Which game did you go to?

THe games on Sunday were rubbish this weekend. the Hawks/Swans game was brilliant though on Saturday night.

Chaos Ball is the appeal.

Super fast game.
Incredible skill. (Doesn't look like it but I would like to see you kick an oblong ball 50 metres on the run at full tilt)
Hard hits.
