Jalen Williams- everybody who’s anybody’s favorite riser. A lot of footage of him getting cooked off the bounce by future plumbers and firemen in the WCC, should benefit from fewer PoA responsibilities in the NBA. The combination of PF length with his shooting and legitimate PG skills is just so rare, and despite a mediocre first step on both ends of the floor, seems to have the tools to eventually not get hunted.

Dalen Terry- again, absurd length combined with legitimate PG skills. The shot needs to keep improving, but I think there’s enough touch to build on. Love his energy, court vision, activity level, competitive fire, and demonstrated willingness to put winning ahead of stats. When I read/hear about the qualities Connelly looks for in prospects, it seems like he’s describing Terry. I don’t typically put much stock into prospect interviews, but watching his, the kid just seems to have the eye of the tiger.

Hard to argue with either at this point. It always just depends on who is available

So assuming these 13 players are definitely off the board:
Smith
Holmgren
Banchero
Ivey
Murray
Sharpe
Daniels
Mathurin
Dieng
Duren
Davis
Griffen
Sochan

Here are my tiers for our pick at 19
The excited tier (Two thumbs up)
Mark WIlliams - Length and defense are great, Duke pedigree, and I think there is more offensive upside there.
Jalen WIlliams - athleticism is a worry, but watching film he has great short area quickness, especially with the dribble.
Tari Eason - growing on me. Length/quickness really flashes on tape Shooting form needs work and don't like having an undersized 4, but could see him meshing very well with ANT and McDaniels. Reminds me most of Andrew Wiggins.
If he can rebound like finals Wiggins and not Sota Wiggins i'm all in.
Nikola Jovic - Just so much potential but biggest risk in this tier.

The wait and see tier:
Trade for a starting C or PG like say Beasley 19 and change for Turner/Capela)
EJ Liddell - Polished player and fills a need, but serious questions about his lack of explosiveness, ability to finish against NBA competition
Ochai Agbaji
Malakhi Branham These 2 guys should be solid roleplayers as shooters if they slip.

The disappointed tier:
Traded for a current wing.
Traded for a future 1st
Walker Kessler (before `24)
Traded down with guys in my excited tier off the board

The bangs head on table tier:
Trade down with someone in my excited tier still on the board.
TyTy Washington
Dalen Terry (how do you only manage 6 FGA in 27 minutes as a guard?)
Wesley
Chandler

The draft starts at 7 Minnesota time, but does it really start then? Does the Magic go on the clock at that exact time? How much time per pick? When can we expect the Wolves selection? 10 Minnesota time or is this much faster than the NFL?

Don't quote me on it, but I think its 5 mins in the 1st and 2 minutes in the 2nd. So we should be picking sometime after ~8:30?
And again around 10?

WojBomb. Banchero is still potential #1 pick.

Hard to believe they don't get at least 10 minutes in the first round. 5 Minutes gives virtually no chance of making a trade.

True. They grow, they melt and they move all faster than the NFL draft.

The 2022 NBA Draft will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday. Each team will have five minutes between picks, which means the draft will likely last approximately four hours.

The draft will last only one day and consists of just two rounds. There are 58 total picks in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Thank you. Wow that seems fast, but I love it. Will the Wolves make a pick at 19? I'm giving that no more than 50% chance.

I just love the all these espn soap opera human interest stories in their draft braodcasts.
I mean who wants to listen to all these draft experts talk about the strengths and weaknesses of the players.

That’s quite a limb you’re out on. So they either will or they won’t and you can’t be wrong…

LOL yep. Notice I'm not going 100% either way.
Just giving my honest opinion. Notice I said no more than 50% chance. I'm leaning slightly towards we won't make the pick at 19.

Any advantages to starting a new draft thread, or should we stick with this thread for the actual draft?

It would be good to start a new thread IMO.
