I don’t know about incompetent, maybe lied to. If you asked anyone at the beginning of this we would have said it was unlikely, maybe impossible, to get Russell. then we got our hopes up.

Rosas at best had a handshake agreement for the cap space, but that team reneged when they got a better offer. I could see he was lied to. However, if that wasn't the case he came into this unprepared. The report from Stein that we were canvassing the league to find cap space was an embarrassment.

I don’t think we came into this unprepared. I think we promised something we couldn’t deliver.

Garland is no loss at all, just wait.

How does it feel that we are going to be worse next year than last? This team just can't get out from under themselves. Rosas took a big black eye tonight .

it's just 1 pick - 2024 protected (1-4)...if the pick isn't conveyed in 2024, then it's 2025(protected 1)...if it's still not conveyed in 2025, then it's 2026 Unprotected FRP

One pick, one WARRIORS pick for 17 million in cap space? Why are these teams helping them out? No wonder there is so little parity in the sport.

So the warriors gave up one pick that is likely to be very late and an already 35 year old highly paid player. Got back 17 million in cap space. Look how easy it is.

I think we will be better. What useful player did we lose? Gibson. That is compensated for by the addition of Culver, Okogie and KBD improvement, and hopefully being more healthy.

I really think Rosas was just blowing smoke around the league to garner interest in these crap contracts and when it came to prove it they had not a thing.

Just having roco freaking healthy will make them better.

That would be embarrassing. I’m hoping it was just Russell choosing the Warriors instead. The other part is, we have to assume these teams are talking through every scenario just like us. Obviously Golden State knew what teams Durant was considering and started discussions with other front offices. Deals like this don’t come together in seconds, the situations are discussed well in advance.

I don’t think so, but I also don’t think anyone should have gotten their hopes hung up on this.

His own fault. Never should have met with Russell without having the cap space in his pocket. :banghead:
