Re: ALL RUBIO TALK HERE
The IQ thread is a classic.
KWSN-men does have valuable information about the players in the Euroleague, he can tell us what the strengths and weaknesses of those players, which players are solid players and which are not, and that is valuable information.
But KWSN-men has a lot of faults,
1) he makes outrageous claims (IQ thread)
2) he claims casey is a NBA and not a basketball fan; well he is definitely a Euroleague/Greek League fan and not a basketball fan
3) his claims about the Euroleague being a whole lot better than the NBA is ludicrous. Also his claims about defense in Europe as being way better than the NBA is off as well IMO (look at the Europeans in the NBA, they are usually subpar defenders); also I don't want to look through all his posts but I know he did say that Dwight Howard would only be an average defender in the Euroleague; thus he lost a lot of credibility right there.
4) his claims about big Greek clubs offering a player a ton of money are mostly false.
5) he claims quite often that all the big European players never want to go to the NBA, but quite a few actually do.
-so use KWSN-men to find out about how good a player in Europe is and what his strengths are; but tune out the rest since it's almost always nonsense about the Euroleague being superior to the NBA

Nope. I've never once said the Euroleague was better than the NBA. That's a completely false accusation.

I just read that whole thing too for the first time, pretty classic. Don't know what the big deal about that IQ is though, mine is 227.
IQ means how high you can count, right?

We are all still waiting for any real news. The four possibilities are
1. He plays out his last 2 years on his contract so that he no longer has a buyout, and comes over to the wolves when he's 20.
2. He's just posturing with his current club(who is badly in need of the millions of dollars from his buyout) to get them to lower his buyout amount, and will still be here for 2009.
3. He either plays out his contract, or another euro club pays the buyout, and he signs a long term deal with them and maybe never comes over.
4. He suddenly tells the wolves that he absolutely refuses to ever play for them, and the wolves trade his rights.
Right now, from everything Rubio, his family, his agent, and Kahn have said, it's a toss-up between 1 and 2.

So what is the point of speculating? The only people interested in further discussion are either: TW haters, Rubio haters or other teams who would love to get Rubio traded to them.
So wait and enjoy Flynn.

This is the most recent thing I've seen :http://dimemag.com/2009/07/ricky-rubio-what-will-happenwhat-should-happen/
And all it is is an article saying that Rubio staying two years is more of a rumor than anything.

Re: ALL RUBIO TALK HERE
Rubio's latest tweet :"Ya estoy de vuelta. Tarde fantastica en la playa con mis amigos.Esta noche descanso , hay que tomar decisiones."
My Spanish is a little rusty, but I believe it says something like: "I'm back. Had a fantastic afternoon at the beech with my friends. Tonight I rest, have to make decisions."
Something like that, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Obviously the only important part is these "decisions", hopefully he makes the right ones.

Following Ricky Rubio
Posted on July 6th, 2009 – 4:53 PM
By Jerry Zgoda There’s a chance Ricky Rubio will break the news about his own future, just like Kevin Love did with the Kevin McHale dismissal last month.
Rubio’s latest Twitter feed, made from Spain a few hours ago, said he’s back from a visit with buddy Rudy Fernandez, had a great day at the beach today and now needs a good night’s rest because “we have to make decisions.”
You can follow him at twitter.com/rickyrubio9 or his official web site — www.rickyrubio9.com — updates his Twitter feeds.
They’re all, of course, in Espanol.

Re: ALL RUBIO TALK HERE
Sorry for this OT, but since it was discussed earlier in this same thread...
Mundo Deportivo reports that what Real Madrid is doing is a mirage, because even Tau and Unicaja are reducing their budget. Just as the teams in the following tier, Valencia, Cajasol, Joventut and Gran Canaria, are doing as well.
This is something everybody in Europe is aware of, except the 197 IQ people. I don't think it does affect Rubio much, because if he intended to change team in Europe, I think Real Madrid would be the main option anyway.

Re: ALL RUBIO TALK HERE
It was reported by Spanish radio station RAC1 that Ricky Rubio is close to finalizing a deal with Real Madrid. There will be a lot of apologies expected if this happens after how I have been treated here for originally breaking the news (before any media had done so) that he was in talks with Real Madrid.

Keep dreaming. Let refresh your memory (back from the page10):
KWSN-Men wrote:Just so you guys know the reason this is coming up is because Real Madrid made him a huge offer. They would pay his entire buyout and then pay him $17 million over the next 2 seasons. Then after that he would go to the NBA.
$17 million over the next 2 seasons. Plus the entire buyout. Keep dreaming.
Obviously, any average European basketball fan knew Real Madrid was the most logic option. Just check my post in the thread a day earlier than you made up that offer: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=918960
