Worst draft ever??

Draft Board:

1 - Kyrie Irving
Anywhere Else - Bismack Biyambo

I'm actually okay with that.

I'm actually quite alright with that too. I had a huge Ronzone for Ibaka last year about this time, but the sheer size of my Ronzone for Biyombo makes that an insignificant memory.

Jonathan Givony has written a little article about him:
http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Bis ... rney--3672

After reading that article is is really incredible how fast his stock has risen in the basketball world. Given the way he has handled that roller coaster and continues to blow away expectations, along with his youth and his almost complete lack of experience, he strikes me as the kind of guy who we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg right now. In that sense, it is possible that his floor may be Ben Wallace, and his ceiling may be much higher. He seems like a very high character guy, a natural leader, and a tireless worker, to go along with the fact that he is a freak of nature physically. Reading about how quickly his game improved once he started getting minutes for his ACB team, it is crazy to think about his potential once he is working non-stop with NBA coaches and trainers.

DX now has him at 7 in their mock, and once he starts doing workouts we'll really see where his stock is at. I actually want him more than anyone in this draft at this point, and would be willing to either trade up or down, depending on how everything plays out, to make sure we get this kid.

Yeah man, it's crazy that ben wallace only really "arrived" in the NBA when he was traded to detroit at age 26. Imagine if "bissy bone" can get to that sort of level in something like 3 years. Height wise they are similar, Bismack has got to be longer, althletically they must be very similar if not an advantage to Bismack. I'd have no problem taking him if we drop out of the top 3.

he's never made anything official, but after a pretty big letdown of a season and saying he was leaning towards staying if UNC did not win, I think its assumed he's leaning towards staying.

started slow, but he finished strong and next year's draft is going to be way deeper, I don't think he can do better

@chadfordinsider Chad Ford
RT @notthefakeSVP: I'm hearing Harrison Barnes will stay @ UNC. Remarkable to keep all 3 - Lockout must have kids scared

I don't understand it if the top 5 prospects don't declare. They'll never be picked that high again in any draft. :dontknow:

This draft is going to suck balls. And we will get the winning ticket to this crap show. Book it.

Winning ticket is the only thing worth while. Our luck would be #2.

I just imagine us getting the #1 pick, then Irving decides to return to college and Rubio stays another year. :-?

He hired an agent. IIRC you can't go back once you do that.

If he hired an agent, you are correct that he cannot return.

It's kinda similar to the climax of this masterpiece:

I'd be fine with Williams if the lottery gods decide to shat on us again. Our luck would be the 4th pick and having to choose between elite prospects like the non-playing Kanter or the Bimbo.
