You're probably in the 10 percentile.

Many of us weren't willing to give up Culver for the privilege of overpaying Russell. Okogie or a future lottery protected first sure.

Not the Warriors. No, not the warriors. Why the bleep do the warriors need a guy like him?

so, if we had a Wiggins or Teague or Dieng trade worked out already, why the hell are we backing out of it now?

We were the person that got the date just to make the other guy jealous.

Pretty much!

He shouldn't have embarrassed himself and the Wolves by making that meeting without having the space prearranged. It was his fault that we had this embarrassment today. Make no mistake it was a huge embarrassment.

That is the only thing that makes sense. Rosas couldn't have been stupid enough to go into that meeting without cap space arranged.

How long have you been a Wolves fan? It is entirely possible Rosas is that stupid.

Yes it is possible, but when did he become stupid? The minute he signed with us. He was supposedly very smart before.

Because giving up future first rounders from what projects to be a bottom 5 team is not very smart.

It’s Not embarassing , an overated player picked a warriors max over the wolves max, most players would do the same thing. That’s reality. had he picked the suns over the wolves that would be embarassing lol

Yeah, no crap. The belief was we would be breaking even or winning wasn't it? That doesn't involve coughing up a 1rst rounder

We heard no steam on anyone taking on these salaries, just that the Wolves were confident. Doogie heard no steam on Teague, heard nobody was willing to take on all of Wiggins money. If that’s the case, then they were way too confident in their abilities.

The Wiggins steam had to be BS. If we could get out of his deal without giving up assets then we would have done it. You wouldn’t wait for a DLo commitment to get out of Wiggins deal.

Warriors fan here. I'm not entirely sure DLO stays with us. Fit seems kind of weird to me and wonder if there might be another shoe to drop with the Wolves. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Thibs!

I'm sorry but if he was willing to move Wiggins then he should have got it done. That's all the movement that had to happen to free up space. He could have sent picks if initial talks without them failed. Instead, it's starting to sound like the past couple seasons of trying to get rid of all our overpaid cast at once.

The other part of this is once you start talking about trading someone they become aware of it too. So now you may have just turned them against you and we've got to start following through.

Why does that bother you?

Because it is Junior high level thinking. Things happen fast in Free Agency. I posted this before, but here goes again.

Rosas: Dlo we really like your game and want you on our team.
Dlo: Great I would love to join you and play with my BFF KAT
Rosas: Just one little tiny insignificant thing. We don't have the money to pay you so we need you to just wait around until we can figure out a way to get it.
Dlo: Dialing the phone. Ring/Ring Warriors you know I think I would like to join you after all. Can you pay me.
Warriors: Iggy pack your bags...………..

You stay in the game as long as you can, otherwise you’re not really even trying. I can’t blame Rosas for trying to make the team better and I can’t blame him for not pulling off something that would have been very difficult. This wasn’t an easy situation.

PharmD wrote:So if this is part of the Kevin Durant signing then it must have all been worked out days ago. I gotta think Durant knew whether he was getting an 8% raise max or a 5% raise max.

All indications are that Durant made the decision today. Interesting thing is that the Warriors took a couple players off the Nets hands to make the deal so they are not only paying Russell the Max they are paying other crappy players as well. He also doesn't fit a positional need for them yet they are still willing to do all that. They must like him a lot or they got him to trade him for Covington. I think there are rules they can't do that right away.
