And here I thought you were a good kid with morals. OUT THE WINDOW! First JonathanW makes a typo and now rev's having dirty thoughts.

? In order to avoid you need to know the boundaries. Know the good and the bad in order to embrace the good.

I failed horribly in joking with you and giving you a hard time. We'll just pretend that didn't happen. ;-)

Are the Gophers in the tournament or do they need to beat Michigan St?

I put more concern in your reaction than my sentence. :wink:

Get your mind out of the gutter. I think the phrase "no homo" which is apparently an internet "phenomenon" is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen. :P

EDIT: That is of course if your reaction wasn't related to your opinion on Vasquez and you don't think as highly as I do, then I'm the weirdo for thinking you're thinking I was thinking dirty.

They're likely a 9-10th seed even without beating Michigan St.

We should draft Lawrence Westbrook and trade him for Russell Westbrook. GENIUS!

I think they're in, too but it worries me that they finished tied for 7th in the Big Ten. Are 8 Big Ten teams going to make it, I think that would be unprecedented, or are the Gophers going to make it over someone who finished ahead of them?

I believe RPI wise they are the second rated Conf, so 8 might not be too weird. But I agree. One more win would be nice.

Definitely has a chance to be a major prospect in the 2010 draft. Could be a lottery pick if he really breaks out (AKA, if Coach Barnes ever gets his head out of his you-know-what and actually plays the guy!)

I think they could potentially make it over Michigan and/or Penn State. Better non-conference record than both, as far as top 25 games us and Michigan are both 3-4 while Penn State is 4-3, but we have a better RPI than both. Penn State's strength of schedule was garbage.

Records versus RPI top 50
Minnesota = 5-7
Michigan = 6-9
Penn State = 6-8 (They're 3-1 against the top 25, but 3-7 against 26-50)

it would be nice if Michigan wasn't mud stomping Iowa right now, though. Maybe we can get lucky and Indiana will pull one out of their ass later? Either way i think we're fine, but I won't argue against the extra help.

Dude's a tank! 6'10" 290 with 13.8% body fat. That is not a brick wall I'd want to run into. He's putting up nice numbers in limited minutes. Next year he could definitely make serious noise. He's like a taller Udonis Haslem with the weight loss.

The more I watch Arizona, the more I think Budinger is underrated. I'm really excited to see if he really is rated as low as sites like draftexpress have him. It'd be great to get him with the Utah pick.

I fear budinger. I do not see his game translating to the pro level well. I think he could be a nice bench player, but I am sure he could be available with the utah pick. I just doubt he has the desire to win.

What is it about Budinger, or what has he done, that makes people think he's a headcase/not a winner?

I'm honestly interested; I feel like I've missed the backstory here.

There'd have to be a pre-arranged trade. As I mentioned if Rubio's available and a pre-arranged trade going from #1 to #2 and picking up something, even cash would be acceptable, isn't there, you just take Rubio.

Let's say Rubio's not available. I think the gap between Griffin and the next best college player is big enough that you have to take Griffin even if a trade is not in place.

I agree. And if you can't get a good offer for Griffin, you put Love and Al on the table. And even then, if you don't get a good offer, you just roll with all three.

MIN isn't in a position of needing to make a trade for 2009-10 to balance the roster. Particularly with Al Jefferson iffy, we can be patient one more year. 2010, when we can apply our cap money, is the year we need to balance our roster to maximize wins. In the meantime, I'd sure we have enough minutes each game to see that all get the playing time they deserve.
