The once a year Lynx thread (2010 edition)

5 points if you can tell us the Lynx depth chart.

2010 WNBA Draft is today. I guess they don't do WNBA workouts. I did my 5 minutes of research to give you this recap. Traded Montgomery + #2 for #1 + Whalen (someone from Minny). Trading down, it's the new trading up.

5 All stars (or recent All Stars) - Augustus, Anosike, Houston, Brunson, and Whalen
2008 6th woman of the year (as a rookie) - Wiggins
#2 pick + #3 pick
Role player in Hamchetou Maiga-Ba.

Lets just follow the Lynx plan. They were smart enough to trade for a NY pick (which became #1).

Lynx are going to the finals withing the next two seasons. The team is too beastly. Hell, they even got a McCants that works. They can do no wrong it seems.

cpfsf, I think you have the Whalen trade backwards. We sent out Montgomery and #1 for Whalen and #2.

Only in the WNBA would you see a trade done that not only improves your team, but brings a player back home, and was done to re-unite best friends.

WNBA is like boy's high school basketball on Lifetime.

So we only have to pretend to care about the WNBA once a year, right?

Isn't our one Lynx thread a year the responsibility of Calinks? Did he drop the ball on this one or is cpfsf making a power play?
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I don't know anything about women's bb, but I don't think that sounds smart.

Might be twice a year now. I am sure I will have something to say when they are ballin and making our wolves look even wolves by comparison. Hell, I am saying it right now. The Lynx could beat the wolves in a seven game series. No way our Guards would be able to stop Augustus, Houston, Wiggins, Wright, and Whalen. The Lynx are stacked as hell.

I just realized that I typed the word Wolves instead of worse. Our team is so sorry that the word worse is now synonymous with Wolves to me. :nonono: We are some sad mofos, I'm telling you.

I think I'm going to jump on this bandwagon so that I can follow a decent team for once.

P.S. Mariners suck.
