Emulating the Nets...?

Not the 2009-2010 Edition. The 2001-2002 ones. They are a team with similar components, and had success in an uptempo style of game. They had Jason Kidd, we have (the rights to) Ricky Rubio. They had Richard Jefferson, we have Corey Brewer. They had Todd MacCulloch, we have Darko Milicic. They had Kenyon Martin, we have.....okay, we don't have anyone in the KMart role quite yet, but I'm sure we can acquire it.
Two draft pieces I am hoping for to help further this comparison: Evan Turner (in the Kerry Kittles mode) and Ekpe Udoh (as KMart).
Rubio vs. Kidd
Turner vs. Kittles
Brewer vs. Jefferson
Jefferson vs. Martin
Milicic vs. MacCulloch
Then we still have Flynn, Udoh, Love off the bench compared to Lucious Harris, VanHorn, and Aaron Williams...
Am I way off-base here?

Brewer is much closer to Kittles than Jefferson.

OK, then switch Turner as Jefferson.

Yeah man too many people are sleeping on this team. In a year or two we are gonna be no joke. Well we have to get through the draft safely. Plus we can sign a good FA or a couple solid FA

That nets team couldn't compete in a 7 game series with any of the big scary West teams.
The west is still big and scary.
Think Shaq would sign in MN?

Did the Wolves buy a Way Back Machine?

Weren't there some pretty harsh quotes by Shaq about not wanting to play in Minnesota back when he was in the draft? I think the chances of him ever wearing a Wolves jersey are negative. Plus, I thought we were trying to build something, not piece together a roster using guys in their 50's? He'd end up wanting way too much, not wanting to be here, and defensively he's not much different than Al Jefferson. The man can't defend the most popular play int he NBA, the pick n roll. ALSO, we're a fast paced team; 3rd in PACE, 3rd in FGA. Remember Shaq in Phoenix? How'd that go over?

Retract that thought, I forgot about this:
Obviously there has to be some bad blood between the three for O'Neal to call them out like that, but you would think there would at least be some respect for Rambis. After all, Rambis helped coach O'Neal during the most successful time of his career when he won three championships and the MVP award. When asked about Rambis as a coach though O'Neal had nothing to say at all, in fact he hung up on the question and called back with the following response:
"That's what I like about him, and if you ask me the same question again, I'll lose another connection."

In a year or two we are only gonna have a player or two that is currently on the roster.

I think Brewer and Gomes will probably be the only 2 guys from the closing day roster this year who will be on the team when we make the playoffs next and maybe Flynn if he would accept a backup roll to Rubio or whoever the PG is. I have a sneaking suspicion that Cardinal replaced Theus as a coach in the near future too.

they played in a historically weak division, we play in a historically stacked division
