Daydreaming...

Post#1 » by Danimals » Tue Apr 13, 2010 3:49 pm

So much speculation these days, but we really won't know anything until the lottery. Who cares, I'm going to throw out so more "what ifs" just for fun. So here are my current off season ideas.

"If" we get the second pick:
-draft Evan Turner
-trade Love to draft Wesley Johnson
-trade other assets to draft Ekpe Udoh
-resign Darko
-bring Pekovic over

Flynn-Sessions-(Rubio)
Turner-Ellington
Brewer-Johnson
Jefferson-Udoh
Darko-Pekovic

This is my win sooner(older) scenario. I feel it is a well balanced team that could succeed in the triangle, but is not built to best utilize Rubio's abilities. If Flynn emerges next to Turner, Rubio could be traded in the future for the right player.

"If" we get the third pick (or maybe fourth):
-draft Derrick Favors
-trade Al and Gomes for Kirilenko and NYK 1st
-draft Jan Vesely
-trade other assets to draft Xavier Henry
-resign Darko

Flynn-Sessions-(Rubio)
Brewer-Ellington
Kirilenko-Henry-(Vesely)
Love-Favors
Darko-Hollins-(Pekovic)

This is my win later(younger) team. This team could still be balanced and is designed to utilize Rubio. We would still get a top ten pick in next year's draft as well.

2011 Lineup
Rubio-Flynn
Barnes-Henry-Ellington
Vesely-Brewer
Favors-Love
Milicic-Pekovic-Hollins

Watch 'em run!
Steph Curry—————Ricky
Michael Jordan———Ant
Lebron James————KG
Kevin Garnett————Love
Nikola Jokic—————KAT

That first one is not too different then my plan. I cringe a little at the thought of trading Love for Johnson, but it does round out the roster.

I don't know if Utah would bite on Al. If Boozer is gone, they'll just use Milsap.

Yeah, we'd have a better shot at a deal with the Pistons for Prince + 1st

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.
