4/14: Detroit at Minnesota (Last Game)

In the last game of the previous season, Kevin McHale extensively played Cardinal, Ollie, Collins, and Madsen in a move he described as, "a thank you for all they've done." As I've said before, this could be the last game of Jawai, Pechevov, Wilkins, Pavlovic, and Cardinal as Timberwolves. It's up to Rambis if he wants to make this a Senior Night for the Fab 5.
http://www.startribune.com/sports/wolves/90684439.html?page=2&c=yLove left the game with about 2 minutes remaining after injuring his thumb. The extent of the injury was not known right after the game. He will be examined Tuesday in Minneapolis.
Point guard Jonny Flynn had his left hip wrapped in ice after the game after he left it with 8 minutes remaining because of a hip flexor injury. Flynn has played in all 81 games, but by the way he moved after the game, his chance to play all 82 games his rookie season might be over. "Health is more important," Flynn said. "I would love to do that, but if I'm not feeling healthy, I don't want to jeopardize my health just to play 82 games. It's been tight the whole season. Tonight, I just moved the wrong way and felt a sharp pain. It's tight. It's real tight."
Minnesota has lost 28 of it's last 30 games. Minnesota must win tonight in order to avoid tying the worst franchise record from the 1991-92 season. "If it happens, it was just meant to happen,' Wolves forward Al Jefferson said. "That's how I look at it. Of course we don't want it to happen, but it's life."
Here's how the game can impact Detroit's pick.
7 PHI (27-54)
6 DET (26-55)
5 GSW (25-55)
3 WAS (25-56)
3 SAC (25-56)

It could be the last game of anyone as a Timberwolves player.

I say give Flynn the ball on pick and roll and isolations every possession and see what kind of numbers he can put up. Tell Love and Cardinal to crash the o glass and put Gomes and Ellington on the 3 pt line for kickouts. I want to seem some stat padding

As long as we are getting a sneak preview of Greg Stigma, lets have Al and Prince switch jerseys for this last game.

I smell a TWolves win. Maybe we'll see Ben Wallace & Kwame Brown jacking up threes.

I recommend reading the Detroit''s board. They do not want to win that game at all.

I think that the Wolves should make all parties happy, and just win the game...

Every first and last game of the season should be broadcast locally.

How many players from both these teams will never play in the NBA again? I'm going to say over 6.

I was about to make a joke about us being the team featuring all of these 6 players but it are only 4 from our team: Sasha, Nate, Stewie and Hollins.

We might finally see Sessions start. I don't think Jonny's going to risk injury this late.

Sasha and maybe Cardinal will never play in the NBA again, thats my prediction. Cardinal will start coaching. Pecherov and Jawai can still latch onto the back of a roster if they keep improving.

Let Jonny drive every play, and put up 53 points on 19-for-53 shooting. Rubes seem to love a young player if he has one monster game, and we'll get a respite from a summer of pick-bashing.
Seriously though, it could cost DET significantly and for a long time if they win this single game. Unfortunately for them, they probably hit the breaks a little too late, winning three games last week.
7 PHI (27-54)
6 DET (26-55)
5 GSW (25-55)
3 WAS (25-56)
3 SAC (25-57)
Even if MIN does a "senior night," you might see DET up an intentionally worse effort. I will not be watching this game.
