Buckets19 gave me the idea to do this trade. His trade was a straight up swap Gomes for Fernandez, but I modified it a bit. I should also say that this is a trade if Big Al and/or Kevin Love aren't here next season.
MIN IN: Thomas
MIN OUT: Gomes + $3 million
-Minnesota doesn't have time for both Love and Jefferson, but TT seems content playing 22 MPG. I decided to buy #24 so we could still trade up #23 + #16 for a better pick (or something similar). If we have no takers, then just trade #23 and not play 3 rookies.
CHA IN: Fernandez + #24
CHA OUT: Thomas
-reset?
POR IN: Gomes
POR OUT: Fernandez
-they had some mixed responses on their board for a straight up swap. I think that's a sign that it's fair.
ATL IN: $3 million
ATL OUT: #24
-$$$ to resign JJ

It's rare when I ever see a proposed 4 team swap and think it's a good idea...
I like it!

That was Buckets19's idea and I thought it was fair. The reason I sent Fernandez to another team was because I thought Ellington and Fernandez would be redundant. You could send Fernandez to Minnesota and Ellington to Charlotte though, I never really thought of that when I made the trade.
I have to admit, I'm a little scared at the prospect of acquiring Fernandez. I think Rubio has warmed up to playing in Minnesota through all the interviews that I've read, but I believe Rubio will be paying close attention to Rudy's experience in Minnesota. Fernandez sounds like a guy who wants a big role (and he lets everybody know when he doesn't feel happy) and I'm not sure if we are going to be able to provide that. I feel like we would have to appease Fernandez so Ricky won't have negative feelings about Minnesota.

I'd love the FO to add more athleticism to the roster. So yes.

Charlotte fans don't seem to like it.

i was in love with rudy a last year but now honestly i think he kinda sucks....i would still love him on the bench but i wouldnt really want to trade TT for him
Rich4114 wrote:Only way that deal is possible is if we also get our draft pick back which the T-Wolves hold. Besides, they'll just waste it on a 12th underachieving or international PG anyway.

I don't Rudy would have much of a problem getting minutes for us at all. Rudy/Brewer/Ellington with Rudy and Brewer playing all the sf minutes most likely. If we got Turner then he could play some pg, sg, and sf in the triangle.
Pg-Flynn(28)Sessions(12)Turner(8)
SG-Turner(20)Brewer(10)Ellington(10)Rudy(8)
SF-Rudy(25)Turner(5)Brewer(18)
That was really quick but you see that Rudy would get about 33 minutes, Turner 33, Brewer 28, and Ellington only 10.

if we don't get Turner, then I'd love to be able to feed 35 mpg to Fernandez. I still think he's good; if it makes Rubio's vagina feel better having Rudy on the team, then all the better, but despite the up and down season, I still think Rudy's good and can be a nice player in the NBA.
