Flynn + Hollins for Dragic and Lopez

Maybe everybody should just consult me to make sure trades are fair for the other team.

At least make them take back Hollins, that improves it a bit.

Alright, I changed it to Hollins + Flynn for Dragic and Lopez. Dragic has a team option for the 2011/12 season, so we don't have to keep him if we know Rubio will come over. Minnesota saves 2.6 million dollars if they keep Dragic in 2011/12 and 4.7 million dollars if they don't keep him.

But ya, I've pretty much scrapped the trade.

I'd like to trade for Lopez if we don't find a good back-up for Darko in the offseason but not at the price of Flynn IMO.

As crazy as it sounds Dragic is our PG of the future. Lopez is the first actual center we've had in the last 15 years... Is Minny that low on Flynn?

I wouldn't even do it if Earl Clark was thrown in. Flynn is going ot be good peeps, just give him some time.

you could do worse, Lopez seems really big. He looks taller than advertised on TV, I wonder if he's not a couple inches taller than listed or if its just his hair. We could use that kind of paint presence for sure.

The thing w/ Jonny is that enticement of "what if he starts to get it". He went 6 because in theory, he's physically capable of beating pretty much everybody in the NBA off the dribble and he has the strength to finish. In actuality he looks very measured on the court and isn't beating guys off the dribble as anticipated and also hasn't found the recipe for how to get inside and the read the defense so that the defender is on his heels and picking up fouls instead of Jonny getting offensive fouls or creating contact that doesn't get a whistle. If he starts to pick that stuff up, you have a rare combo of speed and strength on your hands, and he's not a bad shooter either. At this point I probably keep Flynn and Darko over Lopez/Dragic though, I think there's more potential for impact players there.

Not really low on Flynn, I'm just trying to find everyone's value. We have plenty of trade possibilities here with Jefferson including Toronto, Houston, and Detroit. It's just to keep our imaginary options open.

I feel mixed. Lopez has some upside and I really like that team option for Dragic. I think Hollins is kind of a dead weight. I don't like Hollins as our second center and I don't think Darko has shown that he can log in heavy minutes just yet.

Al can play minutes at center, plus Hollins isn't bad for 7-8 minutes a night and if he is then just play Al there longer.

Skinny @ss Hollins is NOT a center anyway, he's more of a pf. If you disagree then tell why when Hollins and Al play together, Al guards opposing C.

I really don't see a need for Hollins if we have Pekovic coming over.

I'm turning off my trade radar until the 18th to see what pick we get. That event will color everything we do this off season.
