Jefferson/Gomes/#16/#23 to Toronto
Bosh to MN
Toronto acquires Jefferson to soften the blow for Bosh who's likely out. Toronto would still have #10, #16, #23 draft picks to utilize. They could probably trade up to get Cousins or Favors if they wanted to.
Wolves get Bosh:
Flynn, Sessions
Turner, Ellington
Brewer, Wilkins
Bosh, Love
Milicic, Hollins

Do we really have to trade picks? I'm not sure what the competition would be for Bosh, but I just assumed Big Al would have made Calderon, Bargnani, and Turkoglu more effective because teams would be double teaming Jefferson leaving those guys open for easy 3 pointers.

Why stop there?
Pekovic + Flynn + Love for Dwayne Wade

If we did this, i'd like to try to keep one of the picks to pick up a backup PF, then trade Love for Wes Johnson or Aminu. Love backing up Bosh seems redundant and unnecessary.
Flynn, Sessions
Turner, Ellington
Johnson or Aminu, Brewer
Bosh, Seraphin?
Milicic, Pekovic, Hollins

Pekovic would be a nice replacement for the pick, as he would fit very well with Bargnani flitting around the outside.
While I put our chances of getting LeBron at 0%, I might go as high as 1% for Bosh. LeBron has maintained he wants to go someplace to win. Bosh has said he wants to go someplace to "be the man." We'd really only have a chance at getting him at an acceptable price if Bosh was consciously ruling out rivals, and I don't think that's likely.

I'd do the trade without the picks...

I considered leaving the picks out, but ultimately, I feel we'd need to give them if we really had interest in Bosh.
Picks 16 and 23 could result in a very good player, but I feel Bosh is an upgrade and would fit well here. Plus, we still need to account for drafting Turner? while adding Pekovic this summer and Rubio 2011 ... there is only so much youth that we can be accountable for.
Potentially heading into 2011...
Rubio
Turner
Brewer
Bosh
Milicic
Flynn, Sessions, Ellington, Love, and Hollins would be a great bench.

I wish we could snag Bosh, but I think if he made a list of teams in the NBA he wants to play for, we'd be bottom 3 for sure, maybe last

Ha, so true. Maybe second to last, after the Raptors though.

Remove any mention of our teams record. Walk Bosh into a room with a piece of paper that says this.
Value
Rubio >>> Calderon - Better in value and arguably skill
Pick >>> DeRozan - Better in value and arguably skill
Brewer >>> Turkoglu - is Turk's game really worth about 11 million per year?
Love >>> Bargnani - Love's still on his rookie contract, but I'd probably trade him anyway
cap space >>>>>>>>> no cap space
Flynn & Pekovic & Darko >>> ???

I don't think you give up that much in a sign and trade deal.

Bosh sees your piece of paper, turns it over, and scribbles this
Miami > Minneapolis
Florida tax < Minnesota tax
Southbeach hardbodies > Minnesota fat chicks
Pat Riley's rings > Timberwolves' rings
Dwayne Wade > Your Roster

Bosh adds athleticism as well as a 20-10 guy himself.
I also agree that MN does not likely sit atop his list of places to play, however, if he really wants to be the man ... he's got a home in MN. While he could be our centerpiece, it's most probable that he will opt to join a team that sells him the idea they need just one more piece ... and he's that final piece.
Center Piece vs. Final Piece (what the ...

Yep, there is some truth to that, but most anyone can witness the ole leather skinned chicks in south florida look like 5 miles of bad road when they hit 35... get'em when they're young.
I can see Bosh opting to play with Wade as he's a great proven player ... if the $$ is close, these guys prefer to "team up" rather than be the man.

Those chicks prefer the term curves.

It would be tough to turn down all that extra money from Miami if/when they sign a 2nd max guy.

The Heat have NOTHING. Bulls are one star SG-SF away from winning a ring. Heat got KILLED in playoffs. Nobody did anything but Wade. Okay if they add a Bosh and re-sign Wade, they will make it to the 2nd round or Eastern Finals (if even).

They'd definitely be championship contenders, a far cry from Bosh in a T-Wolves uni.
