Is that ranked in order? Because I assure you Flynn is above the Bobcats pick. Pekovic is around that pick, and Ellington is at the bottom.

Gomes contract also has value to a team looking to shed salary.

I think Love is a high asset. Most of our fans would be unwilling to trade him and the 4, even for Turner.

No mention of Darko? Still an asset for this team anyway.

Techically he isn't an asset untill he resigns. Then its tough to tell. I wen't souly off of trade value. I think Darko is a very important asset for our team. I think he brings great versatility on defense, and has shown some flashes of having some offense. It would be really interesting to see him really in shape after a full off-season of basketball and working out.

Our $15 mil in cap space is hyper-valuable until the elite free agents fall.

CHI would probably give anything on their team for it besides Noah and Rose, MIA should give Beasley and two picks, and NYK should give Gallinari.

Its top tier as well right now.

While there has been plenty of discussion regarding Deng + whatever, and some discussion of the Supercoolbeas, there hasn't been any discussion yet about Gallinari, who, of course, would be the best piece we could get in any of these scenarios. However, doesn't NY already have enough cap space for 2 max free agents? Would this be if they wanted a third high profile free agent? If, say, Lebron and Bosh were on board if NY could also get Wade? If that situation arose NY would not hesitate to move Gallinari. While it would suck to help the Knicks become a dynasty, we would probably have to do that.

Yea all these assets show that we might really have to consider consolidating them to get better talent before we dilute our team too much with potential, and not have enough minutes. Thinking of Darko again, I think his value to us is so much higher just because of what we traded for him. If you think about it, he is only what one year older the Pek. Its almost like getting a free euro player.

You need to get out of the Rubio thread mroe often!

Agree with your position, and I'd add that NYK is only going to have a patroll of about $58 mil next year after using their cap space. Locking up $11 of it into an unproductive Curry might be something a win-oriented LeBron is not in favor of. Gallo is also a 3, so the idea of turning those two into cap space (to get another top free agent) or trade for production (like Jefferson, if they get no PF free agent).

Not a fan of these lists.

Our assets have different value if you mean "for us" or "for trade" then the trade makes a difference depending on the needs of the team involved.

So "absolute" lists do not help me.

I think Love has more value than Al around the league, simply because other teams are always going to worry about Al's knee. Al's defensive deficiencies are fairly well known now also, where as Love's avoided a bit of criticism so far.
