With my 2 picks in the 2nd round I say
Ryan Wittman from Cornell- Can shoot better than anyone in the draft
DeSean Butler- already a great do it all guy... Gomes for cheap

If he's still available at 45......Mikhail Torrence
If not......
45 - Greivis Vasquez (Perfect triangle PG)
57 - Brian Zoubek (Physical post presence)
I think both would likely go overseas as we retain their rights..

I say do not waste the roster spots. gamble big on euros or put them in trades.

I say two random european prospects. This is what we pay Ronzone + Philo for.

Or this guy:
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Nemanja-Bjelica-5510/Ryan Richards has also gotten some love recently, although he wants to come over right away. To be honest I wouldn't mind using a roster spot or two if they're willing to develop in the D-League.

Bjelica would be a decent guy to stash, and there should be a big body with rotation player potential available at one of the picks like Raduljica, Parakhouski, Jordan, Varnado, Pittman or Zoubek. This draft seems pretty deep. I' be surprised if the Wolves kept all their picks, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they looked to buy a 2nd rounder fairly early on, sold/delayed and then use the pick for one of the aforementioned guys, or for a wing like Jones, Crawford, White, Stephenson, Landesberg or a ballhandler like Randle, Torrance or Vasquez (if one of Flynn or Sessions is dealt). There's also an upside gamble like Garcia to consider. I wouldn't mind using a roster spot on one of those guys, and that's pretty much just NCAA players.
I could see there being 3 or 4 rookies on the team next year, if Kahn is serious about leading the league in player development. If that happens then I'd expect some package of Love/Brewer/Ellington/Sessions/Flynn to be dealt for more experience.

Someone said DeSean Butler, I'd be all for that, he's a big game player plus he's a pretty good shooter too (both things we could use).
Someone will fall lower then they should, it happens most years (maybe Ebanks, Lawal, T. White, Pondexter, Varnado, Bledsoe, Warren, or someone else) and I'd strongly consider them at #45
I think we could maybe draft someone to be a 3rd PG this year, or we could add SG/SF depth since Ellington and Brewer likely will be the only returning SG/SF on our team.
Finally, draft foreign players and hope they develop, especially some that have some size to them.

I'd like to see Alexey Shved, he'd be a really nice player at both ends if he can put some meat on him, almost in the mold of Shaun Livingston, big long combo-guard/forward
**edit** i'm not sure if he is planning on leaving Russia or just testing the waters for a future move over at this point, i haven't heard much on him in a while

I'd love to take the 1st rounder that falls ala Dejuan Blair last year. I also like Desean Butler, as I think the injury really hurt his 1st round chances even though he will be a solid player. Otherwise, trade them or stash them.

Is this a reflection on German basketball or of you guys and your passion for German basketball?

considering that only during last season I saw as much NBA basketball as I had seen German Basketball for about 5 years only because NBA is much easier to watch via Internet, it shows you how little (other) people care about our domestic league. plus when last year's EC was played I was abroad and couldn't watch it at all.
oh and my favorite team has gotten bounced out of the playoffs quite often during the last few years even though they were the favorites all the time.

I was looking at Benzing a bit and would be fine with it. Whats his game like?

from what I can recall I haven't seen him play at all

but from what I've heard and read, he's a decent scorer averaging great percentages (50/40/80) while being tall enough to play the SF position effectively (he's 6'9''/6'10''-ish) but his body is as wide as Corey's is - if not less. his weight is ~195 lbs.

Da'Sean Butler will be one of those 2nd round steals IMO.. other than him, I like trevor booker as a maxiel type .. who will drop cuz of size.. but hes uber athletic with a big wingspan.. now if a first round graded guy drops, I think they r usually worth the risk (i.e. DeAndre Jordan/ DeJuan Blair).. but most likly I can see us grabbing a couple 7 foot euro players to hold onto.
