What are everyone's thoughts on him? Is he a guy we'd want? Personally, I think he'd be a good fit in the triangle....too bad he's overpaid.

I'd rather overpay Gay or Iggy if we are overpaying someone.

Nah.
Take a flier on someone younger who hasn't already asked to be traded from a team that he JUST signed a contract with.

absolutely positively a great fit. he compliments Flynn who isn't a great dicision maker with his excellent playmaking, and his outside shooting makes Jefferson even more deadly.
with that contract, I would not touch him with a 20ft pole.

I was thinking if we got Brand in a Philly trade, we could swap Brand for Turkoglu (be a bit more complex than this though).

Nope....he fits exactly what we'd like to do. But two things..the obvious..he's way overpaid. I thought he was already 30...and he's making the kind of money first options make. I just don't see him producing first option type of numbers for the duration of his contract. The second....he's a little bitch for choosing Toronto only to try and back out after one season. If I'm Toronto...I make him rot there and move him in his last year to a garbage bottom feeding team. So then he can be well past his prime, and would likely have to finish out his career at the mid level.

Not really. He made 9M this year. Most 1st options are in the 12-13M range or higher.

If he was 24 yea, but at his age and price it would not work.
What he needs to do is find a way to get on Utah.

Ahh..you got me...I thought he made ten and then went up. But he's still set to make 12 million dollars in 2014...he's on the wrong side of his playing days to be paid that much at that time. Really though, he's currently overpaid...regardless of how he was used or what not....he played the majority of the season, with an AS caliber player in Bosh and still only put up 11, 4, and 4. It's not terrible, but he's still not worth it. But that was the first reason...the main thing for me is character and attitude....a big reason why I don't like Love. Hedo picked Toronto, and inked with them for a good amount of time. After one year he wants to bolt....he might be able to pull that Lane Kiffenesque garbage if he was Dwade or LBJ...but he's not, he's Hedo.

we should definitely go after Gallinari, the younger version of Turk.

Yeah like everyone's said he's an awesome fit but that contract is hideous. I wouldn't want him in the locker room either.

No thanks. He seems like one of the biggest sleezeballs in the league, especially after his recent comments. That D on Lebron and Kobe in last seasons playoffs was pretty sneaky sweet though.

He's already 30 and, based on last season's play, is already a below-average starting SF with nowhere to go but down. I feel guilty for even dignifying such a bad suggestion with a response.

Hedo only steps up in contract years. I don't like this guy.

He was the most improved player in the nba a year before his contract year, no?

So we should pay a 31 year old who is obviously on the decline 10 million a year in the hopes that he has another good performance in his contract year in 2013-2014?
