Summer Plan

Post#1 » by Dewey » Mon Jun 7, 2010 12:56 am

Draft Cousins #4
Trade Cousins to GS for Randolph/#6 contingent on Johnson available.
Trade Cousins/Johnson to Philly for Turner
Trade #16/#23 to Toronto (or whoever) and draft Paul George #13
Tade Jefferson/Gomes for Gay(S&T)
Sign Milicic to a 3-yr, $12 million with team option after 1st year.

12 man roster 2010-11
Flynn, Sessions
Turner, Brewer, Ellington
Gay, George, Wilkins
Love, Randolph
Milicic, Hollins

The teams option after year one for Milicic would get the Wolves a season to look at things. Randolph would really be a nice combo forward compared to Gomes. An improved perimeter and better team athleticism. Heading into 2011 ... Rubio/Turner/Gay with Flynn/Brewer/George is a huge upgrade compared to Flynn/Sessions/Wilkins/Ellington

Philly gets their PF/C of the future and a swingman to play along with Iggy & Holiday ... they'd compliment each other well.

Of the many things wrong with this...
Cousins can't be traded 2 times and what J_Era_3 said
APkrawczynski Jon Krawczynski
Durant just said Darko is one of best centers in the league. For once, I'm not being sarcastic in a tweet. #Twolves

Two problems here:
1) You traded Cousins twice.
2) Golden State and Memphis both turn down your trades.

Also, does everyone really need their own summer plan thread? There's nothing original here to be discussed.

Would/ do you think the Timberwolves could do something like this since we have started a conversation

Min IN: 5 + Jason Thompson
Sac IN: 4 + Sessions

Min IN: Anthony Randolph
GS IN : Kevin Love

Min IN: Prince + 7
Det IN: Jefferson

PG- Flynn/ Veteran FA
SG- Johnson/ Ellington/James Anderson
SF- Randolph/ Brewer
PF- Thompson/ Pekovic
C - Milicic/ Aldrich /Whiteside
ADD ANY TRADES OR CHANGE ANYTHING THAT YOU MAY THINK WOULD WORK BETTER
APkrawczynski Jon Krawczynski

I'm starting to agree. I won't lock this one (yet), but lets try to keep these types of threads to a minimum.

Well since I did one of these threads myself a while back I guess I can't tell others they can't. I don't really see it as a big deal, though. This is a fun time of year for a lot of people speculating and playing GM so I wouldn't want to discourage that. You don't have to read the thread if you don't want.

True, I did too.

Would it be good to make one thread for everyone to put their mock offseason into?

As for the OP, Yes it would be pretty sweet to end up with Turner, Gay, and Randolph this offseason. Too bad we have to trade Cousins twice to make it work, though.

I was wondering that, too. I think it could work but we'd have to make folks use that thread.

I like having the separate threads. They are not that common, and it gives us a chance to rip on each other. If we do it in one thread it is hard to truly bash someone's stupid ideas. That is just not the american way.
