And, with that, here's Dewey's:

Dewey wrote:Draft Cousins #4
Trade Cousins to GS for Randolph/#6 contingent on Johnson available.
Trade Cousins/Johnson to Philly for Turner
Trade #16/#23 to Toronto (or whoever) and draft Paul George #13
Tade Jefferson/Gomes for Gay(S&T)
Sign Milicic to a 3-yr, $12 million with team option after 1st year.

12 man roster 2010-11
Flynn, Sessions
Turner, Brewer, Ellington
Gay, George, Wilkins
Love, Randolph
Milicic, Hollins

The teams option after year one for Milicic would get the Wolves a season to look at things. Randolph would really be a nice combo forward compared to Gomes. An improved perimeter and better team athleticism. Heading into 2011 ... Rubio/Turner/Gay with Flynn/Brewer/George is a huge upgrade compared to Flynn/Sessions/Wilkins/Ellington

Philly gets their PF/C of the future and a swingman to play along with Iggy & Holiday ... they'd compliment each other well.

We draft Cousins at 4
We trade Love for Randolph
Somehow sign Gay or s&t (give up Sessions, Gomes, 23)
We draft James Anderson at 16
In the 2nd Round of the draft, select Willie Warren (if available) or Sherron Collins (later in draft)
Re-Sign Darko, Re-Sign Damien Wilkins for dirt cheap (veteran)

Cousins/Darko/Hollins
Big Al/Randolph
Gay/Brewer/Wilkins
Brewer/Anderson/Ellington
Flynn/(Warren or Collins)

I do plan on hoping McHale bumps into my table on the way to the bathroom up at Bimbos again, resulting in him buying a round of drinks and a new order chicken wings again. This will be the measuring stick of my offseaons (hooray for lofty goals)

From the draft I want a shooter, Babbitt or James Anderson would fit nicely on this team. The rest is just waiting for Rubio.

Would/ do you think the Timberwolves could do something like this since we have started a conversation

Min IN: 5 + Jason Thompson
Sac IN: 4 + Sessions

Min IN: Anthony Randolph
GS IN : Kevin Love

Min IN: Prince + 7
Det IN: Jefferson

SIGN MORROW and MIlicic

PG- Flynn/ Veteran FA/ Collins
SG- Johnson/ Morrow/ Ellington
SF- Randolph/ Brewer
PF- Thompson/ Pekovic
C - Milicic/ Aldrich /Whiteside

Athletic but I think to young and to many rookies IDEAS?

Trade Love for Randolph

Trade Big Al for #7 + Prince

Trade #16 + #23 for #10

Draft Cousins @4, Goerge @7, and Henry @10

Sign Darko

Sign Pekovic

Trade Gomes for expiring and future pick(s)

Depth:

Flynn/Sessions
Brewer/Henry
Prince/George
Randolph/Pekovic
Darko/Cousins

Too many players needing minutes, so we are probably going to need to choose from Darko and Pekovic.

very ambitious endevor, but I see a few holes in your plan.

1. Randolph is probably best suited to be a PF, and Johnson is absolutely a SF
2. very very young/inexperienced team (i don't see them wining more than the 15 we did last year)
3. you've traded our really smart but unathletic players who play the exact same postion for 2 raw, unpolished, but ultra athletic post players who play the exact same position. You have the same problem you did before, but just with two new players, only where before Love can argue to be the best rebounder in the NBA, and Jefferson can claim to be the best low post scorer in the NBA, neither Randolph and Thompson can claim to be the best at anything.

I'd try to trade up from 16 to get Henry or George first (16 + Pek?) but otherwise I like this.

7 might be a tad high for George but I do like that team. I think Pekovic might be unnecessary with that frontcourt, also. Henry, George, and Brewer is a nice trio on the wings.

I like this too. I agree with C.Lupus though. I don't like Anderson at all, so I would need to do everything to trade up for George or Henry.

Yea I was totally thinking that but then I figured George would be scooped up before pick 10 and we don't have anything else to offer besides Pek + 16 and Im not sure how many spots we could move up if we packaged that, but yea I do hope he end up with George or Henry.

Also, very minor, but I like Torrance and A. Johnson more than Warren or Collison, but I could live with Warren or Collins as a back up too.

Yea only reason I picked Warren & Collins is because I followed them more, don't really know too much about Torrance or A. Johnson but if they are better options let's go for one of them instead.

Does Utah do that? I have doubts. Does NJ do that?

I wouldn't bother with Wilkins. I would like those players at those picks though.

Utah definitely doesn't do that.

New to the board!

Do what it takes to get Turner. You will find no bigger Evan Turner guy than me. If the 76'rs wont deal Turner i say take Cousins and trade Love for A. Randolph. Turner or Cousins are my guys for the draft this year. Id also trade Al to Detroit for 7 + Prince or IND for Murphy + 10 and try to nab P George.

for Turner's trade it'd be something like

Flynn/Sessions
Turner/Ellington
Brewer/George
Pekovic/Brand
Darko/Hollins

Cousins route

Flynn/Sessions
Brewer/Ellington
George/Gomes
AR/Pekovic
Cousins/Hollins

The Turner trade would definitely lock us up so im not sure if Kahn would do that. Drafting Cousins seems like the best route to me. If Boogie and Randolph filled their potential we'd be set at the 4 and 5 for a decade. With Rubio + Cousins we'd have Run DMC. Cant wait till June 24!!!!!

Utah is win now, right? And they want to stay below the lux, right? I made this deal with those two things in mind.
Williams-Price
Miles-Mathews
Maggette-Korver
Millsap-Gomes
Okur-Pekovic
+#16(maybe Anderson?)
Isn't that an improved team?

I think NJ has to consider $7+million in raw capspace to move down one spot, and they stay in the top 4. I think they want two max FAs more than they want Favors.

I think if we have our rotation full of rookies and other really young players, our bench has to have solid veterans to run the locker room and make guys work hard (besides the coaches).

That's pretty much what I would do. Not sure if I'd do Love for Randolph or not, but definitely want Cousins, Henry, and George. I just think that would be a great set up for the future. Agree that it's probably unlikely to see Darko and Peko if we get Cousins though as it's too many minutes and we're not going to pay Darko and Peko what it will take to have them sit.
