Philly - info from wolves insider?

From an insider at Canis Hoopus
Sorry - some really bad news I heard today 1st off – we offered Jefferson for Brand and were immediately turned down. Phillie simply does not want Jefferson. (at least now)
But the bad news – Phillie has learned that Brand + #2 is not workable for what they want (expiring contact + young player + top 10 pick). Rather than lower the price for taking Brand off their hands – they are now offering Iguodala + #2 for the same high price.
And there are interested teams………with better packages than us.
I have always maintained that Philly would not be able to get a good package for the #2 if they attached Brand's loathsome contract to it, so that makes sense.
But move Iguodala AND the #2? I thought there were concerns those two wouldn't fit together?

I have be told there are about 6 scenarios being pursued. This is one. Detroit is another – which looks to be a 3 team. Houston is another team (especially since it does not look like they will get Bosh) that looks to be a good trade partner.
There will be a boat load of very surprised people if both Jefferson and Love are on the roster come July 1.

I think we should have a board wide contest. See who can pre-create the trades mentioned above (Detroit 3 team and a Houston trade). Closest person wins (as judged by the group).

How about this then..
Min Trades - Al Jefferson and Corey Brewer
Min Receives - A.I. and #2 pick
Detroit Trades - Tayshaun Prince and #7 pick
Detroit Receives - Al Jefferson
Philadelphia Trades - A.I. and #2 Pick
Philadelphia Receives - Prince (Expiring), Brewer (young talent?), #7 pick (top 10 pick)

could increase value with Love instead of brewer
and/or #4 instead of #7 if needed

Whats the bad news? I saw nothing in there that was bad. The worst was that we offered Jefferson for Brrand (but that has to be a typo, or incomplete info, right?)
I've soured on the Turner love. Lets move on.

I'm sorry, I don't buy this. Moving Iggy and Turner makes zero sense. They wouldn't have hired a veteran coach like Collins if that was the direction they were going to go.

slow down kimosabe. I doubt they have the ponies to get to #4, I think the #2 is out of the question.

Philli's insider says they are not in talks for the #2 pick/Brand, but are having minor talks to get the 10th pick from Indiana or the 13th with Toronto, using Williams and Thad as trade pieces. They are targeting a big man -- Aldrich? Orton?
Further, their ticket office is making phone calls and their sales pitch includes -- Iggy playing at his natural position, new coach, and having a traditional SG.

We offered Jefferson for Brand and we're turned down? Brand and #2? I could see them turning it down since Al is better, but he's still expensive and a bad fit for there team.

What? I find it a little hard to believe that we offered Al for Brand and I find it really hard to believe that Philly instantly turned that down.

I dont. If i were them Id rather keep Turner and deal with Brand later. Plus if we did the Al/4 Brand/2 swap theyd want Cousins over Johnson but Al/Cousins wouldnt work well together imo. We'll see what happens

I think it's a given that the #2 was a part of that deal.

Why take Derrick Favors when Detroit offers them Charlie "The Beast" Villanueva

1.) I cannot speak for or against the "insider" I have very limited experience with him, but I asked a mutual friend about him.
2.) He said Jefferson for Brand+2nd. Not just Brand for Jefferson. Philly wants cap flexibility so Jefferson's contract would make no sense for them. We all knew that.
3.) I can confirm the multiple scenarios as well as the Randolph deal. We are talking to everyone right now.
