I'm procrastinating on final paper writing and thought it might be entertaining to get a discussion going to blow off a little steam from the endless brand+#2, and moving Al trade talks for something new.

A little while back we were having a discussion about possible new looks for the wolves and in light of that I thought it might be fun to talk about how we feel about everyone else's logos. Poo talking is encouraged. I'll start. If anyone is offended remember we are not insulting your team. Just your logo. Unless you are a Clippers or Knicks fan, in which case we do also mean your team.

Tough call. I like logos that do more than just say the name, without being too cheesy.
I actually kind of like the Heats and Suns logos out of the newer logos, despite the purple. I hate the concept of "HEAT" though. Great idea, all caps. wooo.
I like the old school Celtics logo, but that could just stem from growing up in New England.

Worst:
Without a doubt: Raptors.
Really? A raptor wearing tenis shoes. It has foot pads and talons, why in God's name would it need shoes? Or shorts for that matter. I'm not thrilled with the idea being inspired by Jurassic Park to name a team either, but that is beside the point. I get the feeling the designer started with the thought: "how can i emasculate a fearsome predator?". Next.

The best logo by far is the alternate logo of Phoenix (not shown above).

Of the main logos, I like Houston I think most.

The worst is easily Toronto and perhaps the Nuggets.

Best : No one ... but If I must choose one .... Minnesota

Worst : Boston

My logo! (Not to hijack, but I'm contemplating submitting it, which is why I haven't shown you guys the latest version)

Memphis and Miami are my two favorites. But I think Memphis needs to change the "Grizzlies" so that it doesn't have an arc.

I also love the Raptors secondary logo.

Not really a fan of any NBA Logos, too much going on. I'm more of a fan of NFL, clean and simple look.

But I do like Memphis' logo, pretty badass. New York's is a classic.

Bostons is my favorite. I also like the new retro Warriors logo that they unveiled a few weeks ago.

I dislike the Pistons logo the most but there's really a number of logos I don't like. (Basically all those logo's who just have a basketball in their team colors and their name on their logo)

NO's logo is pretty cool IMO.

Minnesota Wild logo > Minnesota Timberwolves logo

I like Blazers, Hawks, Celtics, and probably the #1 is Bulls. Bulls logo look like a Bull and it looks badass enough too.

I liked the old one quite a bit, the new one looks like a piece of art you find in the thrift store

Nobody mentioned Atlanta yet? I think the Hawks logos are pretty awesome. I liked the yello, red, and white color scheme more than the current navy blue, red, and white, but their logo is still pretty awesome.

I used to hate OKC's logo, but now that I'm looking at it, it's not that bad, just incredibly generic.

I miss the Barkley era Rockets logo.


I like our alternate logo with the howling wolf inside a basketball. I also really like the fleur de bee logo the Hornets introduced a couple years ago.

I dislike the Mavs emo Seabiscuit logo, too much going on. I also think the Wizards have an awful logo.

For those saying Detroit has a bad logo, remember what happened when they tried to change it?
