How gettable is he? What would it take? How interested are we?

I see something like Gomes + Pekovic + either 23 or 16 for Ariza.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One scenario --

Love for Randolph

#4, take Johnson

Flynn/Sessions (Rubio)
Ariza/Ellington
Johnson/Brewer
Jefferson/Randolph
Darko/Hollins

Then add either #16 or #23

I imagine he's gettable. I'm not really interested at all though.

I have mixed emotions about him. Like like his D a lot and that he would do great in the triangle. I don't like his shot selection, took a lot of 3s when he shouldn't have, and shot 39% from the field. But when he was feelin it, the guy was excellent.

I would be a fan of this if we through Al Jefferson in.

HOU IN: Al Jefferson + Pekovic + 23 + Corey Brewer
MIN IN : Jordan HIll + Chase Budinger + 14 + Ariza

It would alow us to grab Cousins/Favors and maybe sign Morrow + Gay in free agency

PG- Flynn/Session
SG- Gay/ Morrow/ Ellington
SF- Ariza/ (draft)
PF- Love/Hill
C - Milicic/ Cousins

+++ what ever we get in the draft

He was also the number one (and sometimes number two) option in Houston. He excelled in the triangle, and I would love to see Rambis work with him again.

You just traded Jefferson and Brewer for a bag of chips

He improved a lot throughout the year. He finished with a triple double. His shot selection was questionable, but before Martin was there he really was playing over his head as the number one option. Not to be overlooked is the fact that he had 5.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game -- pretty versatile. He's also locked into a longterm contract at a very reasonable amount.

I like him at the right price. I don't mind having him as the 3rd option but we also need to focus on that 1 or 2 option if we can even get one this year, but if we were to get him we better hope that Brewer can shoot the ball great at a consistent level or it's gonna be another season of triple/quadruple team Big Al. All I know is that we need a pure jump shooter I don't care if its Brewer, Ariza, Iggy, Wesley Johnson, or Paul George. No more low percentage chuckers.

But for that trade proposal, I like it and I would definitely do it, but does HOU do it?

Yea I guess looking back at it, it was pretty bad.

I was thinking of opening a little cap space and Brewer and Ariza play similar styles. Then I threw in some young talen. Im just not a huge fan of some other Jefferson trades like Prince + 7 and thought this may be a little better and more promising.

On a side not i just read this article about Dexter Pittman impressing the wolves thoughts??? (random I know)

There's an ongoing discussion in the prospect thread

Not a good trade though.

Ariza's good but I don't know if he's worth his contract just yet and the team has enough 3-4 options already.

We have a #2 option and a lot of #6-7 options.

Everyone else is a 6-7 option? Really? Hmm, guess it depends on how you look at it. Love and Flynn could both be 3-4 type players and even Brewer could get away with being a 4 if he continues developing his shot. You must have real low expectations for this team if you really think it's all 6-7 options.

For the price we would have to pay to get him, it's not worth it IMO. He's still got a LONG way to go with his 3pt shot, something we have to improve on, and he's still got to become a more consistent scorer to stamp himself as a starter.
