Which could be why the extra picks might be needed.

Johnson has been a reach at #4 for weeks. This isn't likely to happen. I think Kahn would be perfectly happy with Favors.

Well, assuming this is true(probably not) we need to call NJ's bluff. It came out earlier that we were wanting WJ with the 4th pick so now they think they can bait us into giving them assets by making it seem like WJ is their guy@3. Don't do it Kahn!!! I'd be perfectly happy with Favors.

This is ridiculous. The threat of taking the inferior prospect in Johnson should provide no leverage whatsoever to the Nets.

I'm so irritated by the buzz right now. Nothing makes any sense.

Seems like there is some sort of leak war going on, where teams keep "leaking" ridiculous rumors against each other.

Call New Jersey's bluff and then tell them we're not interested in trading Favors after the draft went down.

I dunno why we should assume we want 3 for Johnson.

Maye we want Favors and NJ is selling us that they may take him but would be content with Johnson as well - well for a price.

I think if we move up it's to get Favors or in hopes that PHI is really considering one of the bigs themselves.

Favors has been the 3rd best player all year some had him going at 2 and Johnson could go down all the way down to 6 and all of a sudden Johnson is the guy? I'm not buying that, we will gladly take Favors.

I will LMAO out if New Jersey takes WJ over Favors.

I'm not very high on WJ so that would likely be my best case scenario of the draft if NJ takes Johnson and we just decline to trade Favors for Johnson.

This whole Kahn bashing on Favors and calling him out of shape was probably just a smokescreen by Kahn because Favors is the guy we want. :dontknow:

DraftExpress
Minnesota sounds ecstatic to be in the position they're in. "We're in great shape." They won't try to move up to 3 to get Johnson from NJ.

That's pretty much my take. lol @ trying to hold Wes Johnson for ransom when I think we would take Cousins anyway. Favors would be awesome.

Just take Favors. No brainer. This is NJ bluffing. If some of us are pissing our pants because we are talking about taking Johnson over Cousins, I can't Imagine how pissed NJ fans would be if they take johnson over favors without trading down.

I think this is just a ton of smoke from NJ and they'll end up taking favors or cousins anyway.

NJ: "We'll take WJ and then you take Favors and we swap. You give us 16"
MN: "Okay"
NJ: "Alright we have WJ give us Favors"
MN: "Who is this Favors you speak of? Are you sure you're talking to the right team?"

Yea NJ is trying to play us. Not gonna happen, sometimes I forget who's in office. Kahn is smarter than what some give him credit for. He knows that we will take Favors or Johnson, not gonna give up other assets to move up one spot because the spot we are in is truly fine.

one thing thats overlooked, if we call nj's bluff, kahn could be kidnapped by the russian mafia and never seen again.

It might not even be NJ trying to work you; it might just be that Wojo accidentally put an extra scoop of powder into his Haterade mug and is working as a rogue agent for the sake of ripping into Kahn.
