Preview:
When it comes to the Timberwolves and the Draft, they're what the Clippers are to catastrophic injuries, Karl Malone to a championship, LeBron James to Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, the Knicks to money management and Allen Iverson to practice.

Ouch.

Side Note: Has the nbatv draft preview for those who haven't seen it yet.

I don't think Wally Z was a bust. He was a very good offensive player in his prime, even made an all-star team. But to be fair we are excited about the draft this year, and last year. Kahn has changed the mood of the team in some ways, bringing more excitement to a team that has been garbage.

Eh, seems like every other take from major media writers. Wolves messed up by taking 2 PG's, because obviously after 1 year you can tell how good a player will be for their career. You can also tell that a player probably won't play for a team.

Also listing Brewer as a bust makes this guy seem even less informed, he improved drastically this year and is widely considered not to be a bust now (in what was basically his 2nd season).

This is the kind of opinion you get from people who don't actually pay attention to the team besides getting their info from the national media. It's just a cycle of ignorant un-informed opinions, that once written enough times becomes the perception of reality, even though it's far from it.

Ouch.

Fixed.

There's about the same level of intelligence and thoughtfulness in that article as there is in the Kahn thread on the GB.

The guy is a hack. "Make the right call?". It boggles my mind that someone actually paid him to write such worthless drivel. But yea, he's going to make sure not to go out on any sort of a limb because the next time he writes an article like this then we can reply with "Remember how you wanted us to take Adam Morrison 1st overall?"

The article was all style, no substance.

Another hater: Bill Simmons replies to question: Why hate on Kahn?
(Chad Ford & Simmons chat)
Let's see... he picked Flynn at No. 6, which immediately convinced Rubio to go back to Spain for 3 years (when he can then come back with a deal that's not a rookie contract), and by the way, he missed Stephen Curry who was a better fit with Rubio and a better prospect than Flynn. Other than that, he nailed that draft.

And to compound it: He picked Lawson 18, then traded him for a future No. 1 that wasn't as high, then overpaid Ramon Sessions who stinks when he could have just kept Lawson... who might have a better career than Flynn, ironically

Wow I hate this guy.

Simmons is the Glenn Beck of the sports world. The less attention he is given the better for mankind.

so boring, who wants to read a recap for 50000th time about whats gone wrong in the franchise history, the only thing he says is " quality over quantity". Its like a 5th grade math teacher writing an article ripping on NASA, next time remember the FOIL method. Hilarious stuff

Look, everyone is going to hate on the Wolves as long as we are winning 10-25 games in a season. If the Wolves actually start doing well people will stop hating. Hell, to an outsider it looks like an awful decision to pick Rubio and Flynn in succession because everyone who isn't a Wolves fan thinks the only reason Rubio went back overseas is because he doesn't want to play here, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Funny how Kamla is so quick to make fun of the Wolves draft mishaps, but then when discussing previous 4th overall picks he said Conley was a "nice one" and the "jury is still out" on Tyrus Thomas. Give me a break.

Last time I checked 16 was higher then 18. But hey, I graduated high school and don't spend my weekends sniffing petrol, so maybe I'm just not seeing it.

Well, to be fair, 18 is MORE THAN 16, and Simmons hasn't mastered counting backwards as a form of value yet.

C'mon guys. Everyone knows that Rubio was so excited to play for us that he was willing to pay to play here, but Kahn only drafted him to slap him in his face and laugh at him. Then he flew all the way to Spain to sleep with Rubio's mom too.

Turning 18 in a weak draft into 16 in a strong? Turning role players into high lottery picks? Get that sh*t outta here Kahn, you donkey. It well known that awesome, cool, supersmart guys named Chad Ford, Bill Simmons, and Adrian Wojnarowsk were there at the draft telling him to pick Steph, but Donkey Kahn just scratched himself, grunted, and continued throwing barrels at pictures on the wall to decide who to pick. I heard a rumor that this is a confirmed fact.
